The sound of the clock was echoing in the hall.I was sitting alone there with my book and reading a dark romance story,the weather was also very dim.
Thud
There was a sudden loud sound that echoed with the sound of the clock. I looked up and found a cat sitting at the kitchen counter looking at me. I got up and let her out of the kitchen as I was returning I felt someone looking at me. I looked outside my window and I could see some cars standing there which could be of neighbours.
I ignored it and made my way to the chair and then I felt someone's shadow crossing quickly outside. I tried to catch the glimpse of the shadow but wasn't able to. I gave up and returned to the chair. I picked up my book and got myself into reading again but the first line that I read made my bones chill to the bottom.
You won't be able to catch me sweetheart unless I want to my muse.
