Something I never get tired of is unlocking the doors of Grunge Haven every morning. Opening the doors of my shop. It's a Saturday morning, so the guys are at home putting the finishing touches on this week's video. I'd taken inventory last night, and we'd just gotten in a new shipment of something I knew the regulars were going to love. Onyx liked to drop by every once in a while to check on me. This morning, she stopped in looking extra cheery.
"Well, good morning." I say with a smile. "You seem happy."
"Best. News. Ever!"
"Oh yeah? What's that?"
"New puppy! Next weekend!"
"No way!"
Onyx and I talked for a while about her new fur baby, a Red Pit Bull mix named Reaper. We were having a slow morning, so Onyx stayed to chat for a while before having to leave.
The day proceeded as normal, a few regulars had heard about the new shipment and came in looking for the new addition to the store. Bathing suits weren't typically in the store's repertoire, but this new order was something I loved and knew that the customer's would too. Our new summer line was in, and I had some favorites.
Ding
The door opens and I turn to see River holding a bag of Taco Bell.
"Lunch!"
"Yes, thank you! I'm starving." River grinned.
"Let's eat!" He came and sat behind the checkout counter with me and handed me my tacos.
"You have no idea how much I need this. I forgot to eat breakfast." River raised an eyebrow.
"Forgot? Or woke up late and didn't have time?" I smile sheepishly
"Yes" He shakes his head.
"Breakfast is the most important meal of the day."
"Alright smarty-pants." I say with a laugh. River looks out across the store and his eye rest on something near the front.
"Damn, that's cute."
"Hm?" I follow his gaze to the sheer cover-up that had come in the latest shipment. "Oh, yeah. I know, right? I might need one for myself." The bathing suit cover-up was black sheer material with skeleton hands that went over the chest, the fingers displaying a rock-and-roll symbol.

"Oh, and check it out, over this suit." I stand and walk to a table and hold up one of the new bathing suits that had come in. The cropped top had a mock turtle neck. Displayed on the front was a skull surrounded by roses. The boyshort bottoms had cut-out sides, with more skulls and roses across the whole thing.
