THE PAST Eluciana Kikelomo was raised in Barbados, where her mother was from. However, Lucia's father was from Haiti. Lucia's mother died when she was only 2, she died giving birth to Lucia's sister Maelani. Her father wasted no time to move on, remarrying Leialoha not even 7 years later, after being together for 6. Lucia's siblings had no issues with her step-mum, but the same could not be said for Lucia. She never had a real mother. It was something she craved dearly. Her step mother died last year, much to the heartbreak and sadness of her siblings and father. Lucia had attended the funeral with a heavy heart, but she didn't feel any remorse towards her. Lucia was glad to have an excuse to visit Barbados again, but it was bittersweet. She couldn't wait to get back to her new life and leave the past behind.
