I run up the stairs of the bus, tripping on the last step and slamming my head on the floor. I quickly stood up and ran to an empty seat.

I heard the engine start moving  and soon enough my house was out of sight. I grabbed a long sock from my bag and wrapped it around my head to hide the heavy injury my father gave me before I left.

"Just three months" I whispered to myself, dozing off sleep.

-

"Helloooo new camper!" I jolted up to the sudden sound.

Blurry, my eyes ajusted to the sight of a tall, red-haired man with an unusually large smile plastered across his face.

" You must be y/n!! I'm David, one of your Camp Counselors!" He continued loudly.

Remaining silent, I grabbed my bag and stood up, following David outside. We were in a forest infront of a sign that read 'Camp Campbell', though the bell part was faded out.

Under the sign was a teen boy about my age, Carmel-like skin, pitch black hair, and wearing a blue hoodie with jeans.

"Max, would you like to show our new friend around-"

"Come on" he interrupted David.

"Thank you max! Now go with him y/n" David smiled.

"Yes sir" I said, jolting my head down. I walked down the trail and mey up with max, who had already started walking.

"The fuck's with the sock?" Max said, staring.

"Nothing important."

"Ok...well over there is the mess hall, aka where we eat our shitty meals." He pointed to a large cabin like building. "Over here is where we keep the tents that we sleep in. Over here is the activity fields were we do boring shit."

"Mhm" I muttered looking around.

"What's with you? Why are you so fucking shy?"

I ignored the question asking. "Where do I sleep?"

"David's having you in my tent... no funny shit, got it?"

"Yes sir" I walked over to the tent, going to place my bag in there.

"SIR?" Max barged in. "I'm not fucking old"

"Oh uh..s-sorry"

"Fucking weirdo" he muttered.

Max sat on his bed that was more like a cot, laying down.

Opening my bag I found a few pairs of underwear, pants, but I could only find t-shirts.

"Shit" I muttered under my breath.

"What?" Max said looking over to me.

"Nothing"

"Sure"

Laying on my bed, I faced away from this kid.

-

"Max" I whispered. He didn't move, he just kept snoring.

I got up from the squeaky cot and opened the flap of the tent, making my way to the dark woods.

Using my flashlight as a source of light, I found a small empty clearing. I took my hoodie off and pulled the razor out of my pocket.

Holding it above my arm, I took a breath in and pushed it down. The corner of the blade was in so I slid the blade down my arm releaseing my breath.

I stand up, putting the blade back into my pocket.

"Just three months" I whisper walking back to the camp.

"Just three months"
