*9 years ago in Les Loges*

"Lou, come on...  faster, we have to go." Anne Reed shouted at Lou who was still looking at the home which she is going to leave in a few minutes.

"But why, mama... Why we have to leave? This home is my childhood." Lou said.

Anne hugged her. She stroked her beautiful brown hair and said, "I know it's hard honey, but as you know your papa got a job in Paris. So we have to go. It's more convenient to move there. Paris is so beautiful you would love it. The city of love."

Lou said, "to me it's always Les Loges."

"Ooh dear. But we can visit here during vacations. Our home is not going anywhere." Anne said.

"I'll miss Les Loges." Lou said sadly.

With these words they went inside the car and the car drove off. Lou looked at her home for the last time in sadness and her father said, "it's okay kiddo. We'll visit here on summer."

"Summer? That's months away." Lou shrugged.

"The time will pass more quickly my dear." Alfred said.

Alfred grinned and pressed the accelerator for speed. The car passed over the vast road surrounded by  majestic trees and hilly areas. Lou watched the view and said. "However, nothing can surpass this beauty. I couldn't even train myself as an Archer in Paris. In the country side I could catch pheasants or rabbits for hunting."

"I promise my dear. We shall spend our summer in Les Loges this year." Alfred laughed.

Lou grew silent as she watched the passing cars and the lash forest trees which stood like giants. Her eyes were slowly drifting off to sleep. About 2 hours later Anne woke her daughter up. "Lou, we've reached."

"Mmmm..." Lou purred like a kitten and opened her eyes sleepily. The neighborhood is very pretty. She was actually in a gated villa which is somehow doesn't lose that nature charm. Grass lawns are adorned in green and she saw many varieties of flowers in those areas. Especially her favourite gladiolies are growing nearby which emitted a crisp sweet fragrance. Lou inhaled the smell and smiled when she opened the glass window of the car. "What are you waiting for? Come on." Alfred said.

Lou closed the window and Alfred parked the car into a nearby house. Lou noticed that there is small garden decorated with many flowers and saw the blooming Magnolia's which is the sign of spring. She open the car door and went out. "How's our new home, ma Petit fille?

"Magnifique." Lou said.

They went inside and saw the furniture arranged very neatly as per requested. "Can I see my room?" Lou asked.

"You can. It's our home."

"For your information if there is anything lacking. I'll redesign it." Lou said.

Lou went upstairs and opened many doors of the room. She finally found her room which is now empty. She first opened the curtains. The dust made her sneeze. "Ugh... Even though they had arranged everything why can't they just wash this damp thing. Crap."

Lou pushed the table and removed the curtains and put it inside a plastic cover for laundry. She opened her luggage and changed her clothes to arrange her accessories. "A serial light arrangement should be nice to adorn the curtains and I could push my table over there for studies."

As she looked out through the window she could see children playing in the playground nearby. Their laughter echoed. "I wonder if Jonas is living nearby. I'm sure papa had said they are living in this neighborhood."

The memories of Jonas made Lou smile. Jonas is Lou's best friend who Lou met in Les Loges. Just like her father, Jonas' father Mr. Baer got a promotion in his company so he had to relocate to New Paris. Even though they left Lou and Jonas never stopped keeping in touch. They send letters and even text each other.
