As Karishma extended the chaat plate towards Haseena, she accepted it with grumpy expressions, not meeting Karishma's gaze. Sensing Haseena's mood, Karishma attempted to lighten the atmosphere with humor.

"Hume aaj tak ye jo aapka chaat pe prem hai, ye samajh nahi, humse jyada ye pasand hai aapko," Karishma joked, but her attempt at humor only earned her a stern glare from Haseena, who continued eating in silence.

Observing Haseena's demeanor, Karishma decided to forgo the teasing and asked calmly, "Kuch hua hai kya, Haseena? Aap pareshan lag rahi hai?" However, Haseena remained silent, focused on her food.

After a moment of contemplation, Karishma ventured, "Ammi?" Haseena looked up at her, prompting Karishma to inquire further, "Ammi ne kuch kaha kya?"

"Ammi ne naya rishta dhunda hai humare liye, aur hume aaj usse milne ko blackmail bhi kiya hai," Haseena revealed.

"Kya??" Karishma exclaimed in annoyance. "Ye toh hoga hi, jab tak aap kuch batayegi nahi..." she mumbled, her frustration audible enough for Haseena to hear.

"Abbu ke guzar Jane ke baad, hume leke Ammi yaha Lucknow aai. Hum bas 11 saal ke the, waise toh sab samjhata tha per kuch nhi kar sakte, bas Ammi ko khush dekhna chahte the.", With a small smile playing on her lips, Haseena began to speak, her voice soft and reminiscent, each word carrying the weight of cherished moments.

"Shehar humara hi tha per shayad log nhi, sab kuch Ammi ko shuru se shuru karna tha aur madat karnewala koi nhi. Abbu kuch savings thi per woh shifting, Ghar aur humare school admission pe kharch hui. Paiso ki jarurat thi Ghar chalne tab Ammi ne ek NGO join Kiya per uhse kuch khas guzara ho nhi raha tha, tab Ammi ne socha ki woh apni degree complete karegi so that ek acchi job mil sake.", Haseena recounted. Karishma listened intently, observing the emotions that flickered across Haseena's face.

Haseena turned to Karishma and began, "NGO mein kaam bhi karna, ghar sambhalna aur fir apni padhai karna bahut bhag doud hoti thi, Hum madat karte the per woh hume padai chor ke kuch karne nhi deti thi."

Reflecting on the past with a gentle chuckle, Haseena continued, "Tab woh kerosene stove tha humare ghar khana banane, agar Ammi ko NGO se late hua aur tab tak kerosene Walne dukaan band ki toh raat ko Ghar pe khana banega nhi, aisi situation thi."

"Ammi bahut acche se manage karti thi sab per kabhi kabhi late ho hi jata tha, aur pata hai hum khush hote tab, kiu ki hume tab chaat khane milti thi," Haseena said, a fond smile playing on her lips as Karishma reciprocated with a smile of her own.

"5 rupiya ki chaat se pet bhar jata tha aur kuch alag khilaya Ammi ne ise Dil Khush Ho jata tha," Haseena concluded, her emotions laid bare.

As Haseena gazed at the plate of chaat before her, her thoughts drifted back to the sacrifices and hard work of her mother, symbolized by this simple delicacy. "Apne pucha tha na, hume chaat itni kiu pasand hai?" she said, her eyes shifting between the plate and Karishma.
