With every ounce of strength within me, I clawed at the tendrils, my heart pounding in my chest as I wrestled against the unseen force that sought to drag me into the abyss. But as the darkness threatened to swallow me whole, I knew that I could not afford to give up, not when Frisk and our protector still fought for survival amidst the chaos of the forest.
Frisk, from their vantage point, added their hands joining mine as we struggled to free me from the grasp of the unseen assailant. Together, we pulled and tugged with all our might, desperation lending us strength as we sought to break free from the relentless hold of the tendrils. But despite our combined efforts, the tendrils seemed to resist our every attempt, their grip unyielding and unforgiving. As the strange black ooze continued to wrap around me like a suffocating shroud, panic surged through my veins like a tidal wave. I threw Frisk off of me, their concerned expression etched into my memory as they stumbled backwards.
As the darkness enveloped me, swallowing me whole in its inky embrace, a sense of dread washed over me like a tidal wave. The world around me seemed to blur and warp, the shadows twisting and contorting into grotesque shapes as they closed in around me.
But then, something shifted. It was as if invisible barriers in my mind had been lifted, allowing me to see beyond the darkness that surrounded me. And in that moment of clarity, I felt a comforting presence envelop me, wrapping me in a sense of safety and warmth.
Skeleton hands gently embraced me, their touch surprisingly gentle despite their bony exterior. A deep, dark voice whispered into my ear. Though I couldn't understand the language being spoken, there was a sense of familiarity in the sound, a reassurance that everything would be alright.
"Eat." Then, in a single word, the voice spoke. It was a word I couldn't comprehend, yet its meaning seemed to resonate deep within my soul. And as if by magic, the skin of an apple materialized before me, its glossy surface gleaming in the dim light.
As the voice uttered a single incomprehensible word, its resonance echoed deep within the recesses of my soul, stirring something primal and instinctual within me. Despite my inability to grasp its meaning, a sense of foreboding washed over me, urging caution in the face of the mysterious offering.
With a determined shake of my head, I refused the tempting offer, unwilling to succumb to whatever dark enchantment lay hidden within its depths. But the voice persisted, its deep timbre coaxing and cajoling as it offered the apple once more.
"Eat the Apple. Join me." As my resolve solidified, the darkness that surrounded me seemed to intensify, its malevolent presence tightening its grip with each passing moment. The air grew heavy with the weight of impending danger, the sense of urgency pressing down upon me like a suffocating blanket.
Despite my steadfast refusal, the voice continued to weave its seductive melody, each word laced with a dark allure that threatened to erode my resolve. It was as if the very air around me vibrated with its sinister enchantment, tempting me with promises of power and secrets hidden in the shadows.
"Fine, if you refuse to eat," the voice spat out, dripping with malice that cut through the air like a knife. Though the words were incomprehensible to me, their venomous tone sent a chill down my spine, a primal instinct warning me of the danger that lurked within. "Then STARVE."
The voice's retaliation was swift and merciless. With a powerful grip, it seized me and hurled me into the gaping hole with a force that stole the breath from my lungs. As I plummeted into the yawning abyss, a scream tore from my throat, the sound echoing into the darkness around me.
With a sickening crunch that echoed through the silent forest, I collided with the unyielding trunk of a tree. The impact was brutal, sending shockwaves of agony coursing through every fibre of my being. It felt as though the very essence of my being was being torn asunder, my bones shattering like fragile glass under the relentless force of the collision.
