After entering his new dorm, Zay had his first encounter with the school's four guild leaders, including Leon.

"So, lemme get this straight," Zay said. "As a part of my accommodations, I am getting extra assignments from guild masters, and the guild leaders who are helping with them are my roommates?"

"So you didn't know about any of this?" asked the elephant.

"All I know is that I was receiving extra assignments. I didn't even know my dad put in a request! I just wanna be treated like a normal student."

"Well, let me help," the eagle replied. "First step is getting the hell out!"

"Mr. Gen personally assigned him this dorm," Leon commented. "He's our roommate until the end of the year."

"I don't like this shit!"

"Well, I do," the lizard examined Zay by walking around him while smelling him. "I have a new lab rat to test my potions on."

"Can I get an introduction first?" Zay became immediately uncomfortable.

"I gotchu," Leon said. "My lovable and caring half-mastodon friend is Tusker, the Nature Guild Leader. Potion-maniac over there is Richard, the Shadow Guild Leader. My feathered best friend here is Valor, the Thieves Guild Leader, and I'm the Adventurers Guild Leader."

"It's nice to have you with us," Tusker said sweetly.

"You seem pretty chill... I approve," Richard added.

"Leon, please don't tell me you're okay with this," Valor said.

"I have no problem having him here, V," Leon replied. "You're gonna be around him all this year regardless. Let's just give him a chance."

Valor looked at Zay having conversation with Tucker and Richard, "I hope you're right about this..."

Leon walked over to Zay with a smile, "Hey, Zay, now would be a good time to unpack your things."

"Okay," Zay went to the room his suitcase was in and opened it. He saw the tiny gift-wrapped present his mother gave him. He pulled it out first and opened it. The entire room was in magical chaos, with objects flying through the air. When everything calmed down, Zay looked around and saw the once empty bedroom now being fully furnished with the style matching how his bedroom was in the human realm. Zay immediately went to his bed and jumped on it, lying on his back.

"Thanks, Dad!" Zay said happily.

The guild leaders stepped inside, seeing how furnished the room was.

"Well, that was fast," Richard said.

"Posters? A desk? Even a refrigerator?" Valor acknowledged.

"It feels very lively," Tusker added. "I love that for you!"

Leon walked up to Zay, a smile was plastered on his face, "Relax for today, and tomorrow, we need to go into town to grab your schools supplies."

The next day, Zay woke up from his slumber to his newly furnished bedroom. When he exited his bed, he noticed two doors on the same wall. When he opened one of them, he was greeted to his closet, while the other door greeted him to his private bathroom.

About forty-five minutes later, Zay walked into the common room to see his roommates doing various thing; Valor was eating breakfast at the dinner table, Tusker was sweeping the main living space, and Richard was pouring liquids in weirdly-shaped tubes.

"I went from living with humans to living with anthropomorphic animals who are half-humans," Zay said to himself. "This is my life now."

Leon emerged from his bedroom, seeing everyone doing their own thing, "Hey, Zay. You ready to head out?"
