Bular x oc: Red Eyes

part 6: Thoughts

Kai was walking through the school, well more of stalking.

Her mind wandered over the meeting with Bular, for some reason she just couldn't stop thinking about the troll prince and it was thoroughly annoying her. The more she thought, the more pissed off she got, until she eventually noticed Jim and Toby walking out of a classroom.

She huffed and shook her head, she could tell she would be in a bad mood, luckily, the day was almost over.

She approached the two boys and walked behind them, only half listening to thier conversation. "So, what did you decide?" Toby half whispered to Jim. "That if anyone finds out what happened in my kitchen last night, we'll both be committed!" Kai raised an eyebrow at Jim's reply and quickly sped up her pace to listen better.

"I meant about kicking Steve's butt." Toby made some wild karate-like hand gestures while Jim looked down at him with a thoroughly unamused expression. "Give up the dream, Tobes."

Kai rolled her eyes. 'That bully is just a scared little kid with atrocious sense in comebacks' Kai thought to herself, smirking slightly. Just then, a quiet 'ding' sounded from inside Jim's bag. Toby scuttled behind him to look into the bag. "Does this thing run on batteries?"
Kai took this opportunity to enter the conversation, they couldn't have not noticed her, right?

"Does what run on batteries?" Toby and Jim both jumped and spun around, Toby was the first to speak. "How long have you been there?!" Kai shrugged, just then, Jim's bag 'dinged' again. Jim gave Toby a panicked look and Toby just shoved him into the boys locker room. With an awkward smile, Toby backed into the room with Jim.

Kai tilted her head, then it dawned on her. 'The amulet! That explains the 'dinging' I'll walk home with them, just to make sure I'm right.' Kai was so lost in thought, she hadn't noticed Mr Strickler walking up behind her. She turned around quickly and nearly walked into him.

"Ah, hello, miss Flickr." The way he said Kai's fake last name made her narrow her eyes slightly. " hello, Mr Strickler." She walked past him, but before she could get far, he called out to her. "There's tryouts for the school play, should should watch, maybe meet some of the other students."

Kai frown slightly, but quickly put on a fake smile. "Sure, is it in the gym?" Mr Stickler nodded and walked into the boys locker room. Once he was gone, Kai rolled her eyes, stalking towards the gymnasium.

As she stepped inside, Kai slipped effortlessly past the students and behind the curtain on the stage only to see Jim, clad in the signature Trollhunter armor and Toby stood beside him. On stage, Kai saw Claire, the girl with the ridiculous amount of hair clips, she was just starting her audition.

"It would've been easier to tell him I'm a Trollhunter!" Jim whisper-yelled to Toby as Claire began finishing up her piece. "I don't even know the play!" Jim finished. People began clapping as Claire finished her audition.

Walking up behind Jim, Kai put on a smirk. "What's with the armor?" Jim spun around and so did Toby. "Kai? What are you doing here?" Jim hissed, Kai shrugged, not pressing her original question since she already knew the asnwer. "Strickler said I could come to 'socialize' or something." Jim raised an eyebrow curiously and turned around just to see Claire walk up to him.

"John?" Claire tried, obviously not remembering Jim's name. "Uh, Jim" Jim clarified. Claire smiled and noticed Kai standing behind the boys. "Oh, hey, Kai!"  Kai waved and smiled. "Hi, Claire."

Claire turned back to Jim. "And here I thought you didn't like Shakespeare." Claire crossed her arms. "Oh, no, he's my favorite. I totally love him!" Kai raised an eyebrow behind Jim, Toby gave her a knowing smirk and Kai rolled her eyes.

"That costume is incredible! Did you make it?" Claire continued, Kai was about to speak but Toby beat her to it. "No, he found a magical amulet that makes it!" Kai blinked at him, Claire chuckled. "You're funny." Jim turned his back to Claire and glared at Toby. "Yeah, you're a real comedian, aren't you."

Kai rolled her eyes as a woman called the next person to the stage. "I think that your cue." Claire said, gesturing towards the stage. "Brake a leg!" Jim walked forward, but Kai caught him whispering 'I'd prefer that' to himself.

Kai watched the expressions of the students in the seat exchange glances and whisper to each other, Kai's mind however, drifted back to Bular. She began to get annoyed, not realizing the red smoke starting to appear on her face until Toby pulled her out of her thoughts.

"Kai, what happening to your face?"
