Song of the chapter: Don't Forget Where You Belong - One Direction

Sofia

"This is it" My mother's voice trembles while she hugs me tightly.

This airport doesn't hold the best memories, this is the airport where my father went every time he had a mission, so I added this one to the list.

It's my grandfather's turn to hug me and whisper:

"Never forget where you belong" his voice full of worry and emotion.
I know he is happy to see me follow my dreams, but it's always hard for him to let go his grandchildren. Just after my father's death he became a rock to me, he's that kind of person who you can talk about everything and you won't feel you're being judged or anything. That's something I always try to do, not judge people.

My grandfather lets me go and my little brother hugs me. He looks he's not devastated, but I know him better.

As he hugs me he whispers "I'm going to miss you sis" his voice trembles as well.

I finally manage to speak for the first time "Me too, don't get yourself in trouble please" Pedro nods whipping his teary brown eyes.

"Gotta go, love you all" I say quietly, almost emotionless.

"Don't forget to use protection" my brother winks and I blush a deep shade of red.

"Pedro" my mother says pretending to be shocked.

With one final goodbye I head to the check in balcony as they continue to wave at me.

This is one of the things I hate the most about this damn airport you can see who you left behind until you reach the aeroplane and for me that is one of the hardest things.

I managed to make it to the plane and once I seat down I start regretting having accepted going to Oxford.

I'm afraid there I will just be the girl who needs to study harder than anyone because she has a paid scholarship.

As hard and complicated as it seems
that's what I have to think about, it's where I always wanted to go.

Just focus on that and it will be okay, everything is going to be okay I keep reminding myself.
