Dahyun was always loved and cared for her entire life. She was the light in everyone's life. But not you. You were just the little sister to her that always got in her way. She hated you.

———

You woke up for school as you ran downstairs. You were late. Your uniform was a mess and your hair was in a ponytail that clearly was slanted. You had about 7 minutes before the bus would arrive.

You knew if you were late your parents would make your older sister, Dahyun, take you to school.

She had stayed over for the night due to family party that happened yesterday. A real reason why you woke up late even though you told your mom that you would be fine.

That couldn't be an option. She hated you even if you adored her. You knew that she would be upset if she had to come from her own home to your parent's house to pick you up.

You ran to the kitchen faster as you made your bagel. You looked at the time 5 minutes left. Your heart was beating as you finished your bagel. You left a mess in the kitchen. You would clean it later. A lie that you told yourself.

You ran outside of your house with your shoes on. You looked at your wrinkly outfit and huffed. You ran outside before realizing your backpack was still in your room. At the same time you saw your bus get to your bus stop.

You had a choice. Get the backpack that you need for school and be late, also having to ride with Dahyun who hates you. Or leave it and get on the bus.

So you got on the bus. You sat next to your group of friends as they stared at you. They all smiled as they saw you with no backpack.

"Is someone scared of their-"

Before they could finish you slapped their arm. You rolled your eyes.

"I'm not scared. Just a little nervous around her."

You spoke as you looked away.

"I don't need to tell you anything."

You said with annoyance. Your friends looked at each other before looking back at you.

"Right."

One of them said as they looked away. They all knew of the truth of your sister. They had seen it before. How she hated when she looked at you.

Perhaps it was the age difference. You were 15 and Dahyun was 31. The age difference did it for the both of you. Maybe that's why right?

———

Anyways you got to school. No supplies or nothing. Not even the school computer. It was kind of embarrassing. You walked down the hallway as you hand a pencil, that your friend had loaned to you, in your pocket.

Your friends giggled as they saw how red you were. You were embarrassed because everyone else had their backpacks while you had a pencil in your pocket.

Nevertheless, you went to class. You got scolded by all of your teachers. You were a good student so they didn't call your parents for this forgetfulness.

That was until it was your last class and you went to class. You sat down and immediately your teacher scolded you in front of everyone. It was embarrassing, and what's worse? They called your parents.

Your heart stopped beating for a second. You heard the phone ring. Your friends reassured you that you would be fine. Yet you knew that your parents would be upset with this. They were always upset whenever you did something that made you forget something.

You heard your mother pick up the phone. The way your leg bounced as you saw your teacher talk on the phone. The whole room went silent. Some students stared at the teacher while others stared at you.

But everyone could see the fear in your eyes. The teacher wrote you a pass to the office. The teacher then put the phone down as your mother hung up.

"Go to the office. Your mother will be picking you up early."

The way your breath hitched as you look grabbed the pass from the man's hand. How you looked scared and how your teacher looked pleased with himself.

"Next time be prepared."

He muttered out as if that wasn't to piss you off more. He saw that but you walked out the hurriedly.

Once in the office, you saw a car who you knew it belonged to. Dahyun's car. You gulped as you saw her walk in the building. Wasn't your mom supposed to pick you up?

Dahyun looked pissed as she waited in the office. You looked down at the ground as you walked with her back to the car. You sat in the back and not in the passenger as you knew she hated that.

She drove away in silence. You didn't say anything about her picking you up.

You both were at a red light. You saw her look at you from the rearview mirror. She looked almost disappointed? Yet you still looked down at your hands as you fidgeted.

"Mom wasn't home. Don't think i picked you up for a different reason."

You stayed silent nodded. She sees how i look. She sighs as she drives again as the light turns green.

———

You went to your room right away as Dahyun sighed. Hearing your door close she pulled out her phone. She never let you see her phone because her lock screen was a picture of you when you were a toddler.

She texted her mom.

"I brought her back."

"Okay, can you stay with her till i get home?"

Dahyun huffed at the request her mother asked her.

"Alright"

Dahyun looked at the direction of where your door was. Yet she looked away as she saw that you had your door close.

She sat down on the couch in the living room. Turing on the tv as you walked out your room to make something to eat. She saw how you were quiet and didn't bother to say anything to her.

Her fault for always pushing you away to the point where you don't even want to talk to her.

She felt her chest tighten as she stared at you from the corner of her eye. She would never tell you or hope that you find out...

she was your mom.

A teen pregnancy that she wished she never had in her teen years yet now all she regrets is not being there for you. Being on tour with the girls she didn't have time for you.

But her contract ended. She had so much time to think about you and knew how much you tried over the years to bond with her as she only pushed you more away.

If you found out now, she would know it would only end up badly. So instead she'll watch her mother raise you. While she watches from afar.
