Pilby: "There it is, the elevator is finally here..." Pilby told himself. As Pilby slowly walked into the elevator, he noticed that there was already one person inside. Luckily enough for him, there was room for just about the both of them.

Pilby: "Oh h-hi there! My name is-" Pilby was soon cut off of speaking by an unfamiliar face.

Pest: "Don't care, leave me alone." Mumbled Pest.

Pilby: "Oh... I'm sorry if I did something to make you mad, I just got in here, so I didn't really expec-"

Pest: "I know, its whatever. Just don't talk to me."

Pilby: "He seems tense... I hope he's okay." Pilby thought to themselves. Pilby felt worried, he started to twiddle his fingers hoping to calm down.

Pilby: "H-Hey, I uh... I know you said you wanted to be left alone but I'm kind of bored."

Pilby: "Can I tell you a joke while we wait?"

Pest: "... Fine. Just once." Pest grumbled under his breath with a moody look on his face.

Pilby: "Yay! I don't really have the best jokes, but I think you'll like this one."

Pilby: "How do bees brush their hair?" Pilby asked.

Pest: "I'm not sure."

Pilby: "Well, they use a honeycomb!..."

Pest: "..."

Pilby: "I know... my puns are bad." Pilby started to sniffle in discouragement.

Pest started to smirk at Pilby shifting into him quietly laughing.

Pest: "I thought it was a little funny." Said Pest.

Pilby then looked up and glanced at Pest while timidly blushing. "You did? No one ever likes my jokes..."

Pest: "Don't get yourself down in the dumps, you'll soon be making a lot more people laugh at your jokes than just me."

Pilby: T-Thanks, uh, what's your name? I'm Pilby!"

Pest: "I'm Pest. I think your name is rather cute."

After hearing that Pilby's face turned bright red, he faced straight to the floor, one hand at the back of his head and the other idled.

Pilby: "Oh gee, heh..."

The door to the elevator had finally opened at the subway. Without saying a word, Pest had walked out, took a glance at Pilby, then left quietly.

Pilby: "I made such a fool out of myself, no wonder though. I need to work on my puns a lot more..."

As the doors closed, Pilby thought more about Pest. He then sat down and closed his eyes, waiting for the next floor to come.
