August POV
Ms White turned around and raised a perfect eyebrow at me "Well are you coming... August ?"
"S-Sorry" I stuttered "Don't mention it" she flashed me a smile which I reciprocate while still blushing somewhat. God I am so giving bottom energy, it's embarrassing. "Just wait out here for a minute" Ms White mutters and leaves without waiting for a response. I look around the hallway as I nervously wait for her to return, noticing the white walls, the Wilbourns crest, and the grey carpet. My new lecturer comes back carrying papers. "Let's hurry because we are running late and head to Wilbourn Hall, where we will meet the other new students."
We quickly reach the hall as I struggle to keep up with the professor's walking speed. When we get to the hall, nobody is there, as we discover after taking a quick look around. I state, "There isn't anyone here." I startle as the phone rings, and the professor gives me an unusual look before picking it up. She stays silent for a bit as she listens to whoever is on the other end of the line. I turn my head away as she says, "Oh okay, there's a student here with me right now."
"So another professor was assigned to this tour too and he took the other students so it looks like it's just us" she half smiles. "Ah okay" I reply. She hands me my schedule.

"Who do you have?" my professor asks in curiosity. I give her my schedule.
"Looks like we will be seeing more of each other then" she smiles "Your taking two types of law?" she asks. "Yeah, both of them intrigue me" I reply as she looks at me in awe. "So it seems that your dorm room is dorm 3 level 2, room B" she points to where it says that on my schedule and she gives me it back. "Come, i'll show you where it is, let me take one of your suitcases, they both look awfully heavy" she voices her concern. "Thank you miss" I flash her a smile.
We walk in silence for what seems like hours but only mere minutes. I decide to make small talk with her "So after every day of work you drive back home?" she gulps and clenches her elegant jaw. Home must be a soft spot for her. She looks at me "Actually no, some professors actually stay here in the dorm rooms, they are each in charge of a level in a dorm, there are 3 dorms on campus and 4 levels on each, so many professors actually live here." I nod my head in understanding.
We must have been walking for around 5 minutes and we finally get to dorm 3. Ms White follows me in and directs me towards where my dorm room is and we finally arrive. She gets a key out of her pocket to open the door and I look at her oddly, do all teachers have keys that unlock the dorm rooms? "Oh sorry I forgot to mention, I am the professor assigned to this dorm level and each professor is given a special key that fits every room on the level for emergency reasons" she looks at me to see if I understand and I nod my head again.
Ms White opens the door and we both see a raven haired girl dancing to music through her headphones while unpacking her suitcase. We both look at each other and giggle slightly, the raven haired girl jumps in fright when she spots us both standing in the doorway. She takes out her headphones and offers me a hand to shake which I accept. "Hi, I'm Bethany but just call me Beth" she flashes me a warm smile. "Hey, I'm August, nice to meet you" I greet her back. Ms White also introduces herself to Beth. "Okay, here's your suitcase August, you will have to borrow Bethany's key until you get yours from the office later, and both you girls, don't hesitate to knock on my door if you have any worries or concerns, my room is next to you, A" she smiles again and leaves.
I find myself looking where Ms White was standing mere seconds ago already missing her. Wait what? I don't miss her, it has to be something else. I shake my head to get rid of those thoughts and I get to what I have been dreading all day. Unpacking my suitcase. I plug my headphones in and listen to Adele 'Essentials'.
