Kokushibo is part of the Twelve Demon Moons and has the rank of Upper Moon One -- the strongest of all of the Moons in the Kimetsu no Yaiba (Demon Slayer) series. Before becoming a Demon, he was called Michikatsu Tsugikuni and was part of the Demon Slayer Corps. He is a tall man of muscular build and pale skin complexion. He possesses long, spiky black hair with red tips that he keeps in a ponytail. Kokushibo wears a purple-and-black hexagonal patterned nagagi kimono and black umanori-styled hakama pants tied with a white uwa-obi. He carries a fleshy katana at his waist that has eyes in the space between the tsuka ito wrapping of the handle of his sword. The tsuba and blade are shown to have eyes and veins.

Kokushibo pursues strength and greatly desires to be the strongest, causing an inferiority complex towards his younger brother. At first, he thought of himself as superior and pitied Yoriichi, but after witnessing his strength he became jealous and began to hate his brother. Kokushibo is described as being extremely powerful and intelligent, with exceptional swordsmanship skills. Kokushibo pursues strength and greatly desires to be the strongest, causing an inferiority complex towards his younger brother.

He has an incredible amount of strength and power, due to having the highest concentration of Muzan's blood and his Mark enhancing his physical capabilities. Kokushibo possesses both the powers of a demon and a Demon Slayer, making him a formidable opponent with versatile abilities. Immense Speed & Reflexes: Kokushibo possesses immense levels of speed far surpassing that of the other Upper Ranks, as first shown when he slashed off Akaza's arm before he, or any of the other demons present, realized. He displays his phenomenal speeds on multiple occasions while fighting.

{Blood demon art...}
Kokushibo's blood demon art is " Crescent Moon Blades " which in short basically allows him to control crescent moons from his flesh sword. His blood demon art seems to have a secondary ability which allows him to manipulate the shape and range of his sword slashes when unleashing his Moon Breathing techniques. Since Kokushibo has been alive for centuries as a demon, his use of Moon Breathing could be regarded as one of the finest forms of swordsmanship in Demon Slayer as a whole. At the time of the Infinity Castle Arc, he had developed a minimum of 16 Forms of this Breathing Style..
