A year ago, everybody knew the pop band One Direction. Once famous, now destroyed by the relationship of Louis Tomlinson and Harry Styles or what used to be called "Larry Stylinson".

Harry and Louis broke up shortly after they realized that the society couldn't accept their relationship. Two handsome boyband members turned out to be gay? The news shocked half of the teenage population, which made the band lose their fans. They tried to save their reputation, but it was no use.

The members went into their own ways. Liam became an international solo artist, Niall became a football coach back in Ireland, Zayn became a famous painter in Italy and Louis became a movie actor in Hollywood. While the four boys became successful in life, Harry was the exact opposite. He was the most popular member of the band, but now nobody knows that he even existed. He became a homeless man walking around in the streets of Los Angeles, California.

He was desperate to win Louis back so he spent all his money to impress the actor. However, the older lad wasn't impressed at all. He ignored Harry until he forgot he even existed. He left the past behind and started a new life, a life without Harry.

It was Harry's first Christmas in LA. He was alone and homeless. He has nothing but the memories of the past. Wearing an expensive but ripped denim jeans, an untidy white shirt, his favorite beanie and his body full of tattoos that he got when he was famous, he wandered the street of Hollywood Boulevard. His eyes lit up when he noticed a small thrift shop down the street. It was obviously out of place, so he was intrigued to see one. He went to the place and checked it out.

The shop's bell rang loud in the quiet place. The woman behind the counter looked up and when she saw the client was a hobo, she suddenly became cautious and suspicious, afraid that Harry might steal something.

Harry was about to leave the shop when he saw little plastic rings on the counter. "How much are those rings?" he asked, his deep voice echoing in the room.

"A quarter a piece," the shopkeeper answered lazily.

Harry went to the counter to take a good look at the ring designs. A ring with a blue plastic topaz on top of it caught his eye, remembering that a blue topaz is the December birthstone - the month when Louis was born. He remembered giving Louis a gold ring with a real blue topaz on top of it before they came out, to assure his boyfriend that whatever happens, he'll always be there.

He took the ring and reached for some money in his pocket, but he realized he doesn't have anything. Disappointed, his trembling hands dropped the ring just when he was going to return it. He picked it up, and noticed something glistening beside it. Just his luck, it was a quarter that somebody may have dropped. He picked both items and paid for the ring with the coin, satisfied that he got himself a little Christmas present.

He left the shop, the plastic ring worn in his ring finger. "Perfect," he murmured as he gazed on the new item. He was walking towards nowhere when he noticed a group of paparazzi following a man in his early 20's who was wearing a white tee and chinos. He was covering his face, but something about him caught Harry's attention. The way the celebrity acted; the way he walked and the way he covered his face, the fact that the gold ring in his ring finger has a blue topaz, there was some kind of familiarity in it. Harry stared at him and realized that it was the man he loves, the most important human being for him.
