Magnolia Rousseau (A Ron Weasley X Oc Story)

Chapter four

Third person pov:

The rest of the day was a blur and by the end of it Magnolia was tired. Information and homework had been thrown at her all day. She decided that she would try and tackle some of her homework before dinner.

She walked down the chaotic corridors where other students were running and pushing past each other to get out of their last lesson. Finally she found her way to the library. She pushed open the wooden door and was immediately hit with the smell of old books. She walked quietly down a large shelve of books until she found a old comfortable couch. She curled up into al ball and began tackling the mountain of homework she was given.

Time flew while she was in her little secluded corner. Her stomach growling reminded her of dinner, she packed away her belongings and left the library.

She sat next to Abigail and started eating. Abigail was speaking to another hufflepuff so Magnolia just focused on her food. Looking around the room she saw the redhead Weasley again eating his dinner with the famous Harry Potter. He made eye contact with her and smiled at her, she smiled shyly back at him. “And thats when I was given detention.” Abigail said which snapped Magnolia out of the gaze. “Magnolia, I was thinking we are now best friends.” She excitedly said “We need nicknames.”
“Um sure, I guess” Magnolia replied giggling at Abigail’s enthusiasm. “Magnolia….Magnolia, hmm would Nola work?” Abigail was deep in concentration. “Yes that would work. I like it.” Magnolia smiled “And I’ll call you Abi” “LOVE THAT” Abigail jumped and hugged Magnolia tightly.

They continued eating, talking away to each other happily. “So tomorrow, would you like to join me and some others in our year for a picnic. It’s abit cheesy I know but its a tradition and we watch the Quidich practice aswell. It’s great fun!” Abigail asked.
“Of course, that would be fun and i’ll get to meet new people.” “Exactly, meet us at lunch by the quidditch field.”

Bag in hand Magnolia walked towards the quidditch field looking forward to a well deserved rest between classes. She could see a group of people lounging about on a picnic blanket talking and eating. As she got closer she saw that it wasn’t only hufflepuff there, the other houses were there as well. This made Magnolia slightly nervous as she hadn’t had much of a chance to speak to many people in her house let alone her whole year.

Abigail waved her over and Magnolia set her stuff down and sat. “Everyone this is Magnolia, Magnolia this is everyone” Abigail jestured and continued to talk to one blond headed girl. “So Magnolia, you're the new student.” A Slytherin boy smirked. “Yes I am, what’s your name?” Magnolia asked “The names Theo, Theo Nott.” “It’s nice to meet you Theo.” “Likewise”

After the small exchange Magnolia continued speaking to people around the circle, even if it was scary to her. She met a funny Gryffindor boy who was bantering with a fed up Ravenclaw boy. Who was just trying to read his book. She met a slytherin girl who was very interested in muggle life and she met a hufflepuff boy who was deeply interested in what Abigail was saying.

It was nice to meet new people, more and more people joined the little circle and then someone mentioned the quidditch practice that was currently happening. People started to get up and headed towards the practice. Theo lingered back and waited for Magnolia as she was still packing up her stuff.

Abigail looked back slightly smiling glad that Magnolia was making friends but she was wary about Theo as she knew what he was like.
