Asking for Blessing

*1 year later*

Engfa, Freen, and Mr. Austin sat in his office discussing business.

"So, how are my daughters" asked Mr Austin.

Freen and Engfa were caught off guard

"They are fine," they both said at the same time.

"I have something to discuss with you sir," Engfa said looking nervous.

"I also have something to discuss with you,"  Freen said.

"If this is about me and your mom, I assure you we are just friends I love my wife and we are working on our relationship," Mr Austin said with a chuckle.

"No, it's not that," they both said simultaneously.

"What is it about then" Mr Austin said with curiosity.

"I.......... want t.... ask for charlottes hand in marriage," Engfa said nervously

"I also want to ask for Becky's hand in marriage," Freen said surprised by Engfa's question 

Mr. Austin chuckled.

Engfa and Freen looked at each other surprised by Mr Austin's chuckle and scared that he would not give them his blessing.

"You both don't have to ask that, you will always have my blessing," Mr Austin said standing up and walking towards his couch in his office.

"I have never seen my daughters this happy in a long time and because of you both they forgave their mom and me for lying and keeping the fact they were adopted from them, also Engfa you are my daughter, and Freen even if I am not our biological father I love and adore you like my daughter, and you both have my blessing" Mr Austin said.

"Thank you so much," Freen said with tears in her eyes.

Mr Austin and Freen look at Engfa who is quiet and lost in thought.

"Engfa are you okay?" Freen asked.

"Sorry, I was thinking about something, anyway thank you so much, sir," Engfa said with a cold tone.

"I have told you not to call me sir and I know I said I would wait for you to call me dad but please don't call me sir," Mr Austin said looking sad.

"I am not ready to call you dad yet I hope you understand and I plan to propose to Charlotte on her birthday," Engfa said trying to change the subject.

"That is in Two weeks" Freen said with a surprised tone.

"Yes, what better time to propose than on a special day," Engfa said

"Right, you can do it if you need anything just ask," Mr. Austin said 

"I need to know something though," Engfa said looking nervous with what she was about to ask.

"what do you want to know?" Mr Austin asked with a curious look.

"Did you really look for me and my mom" Engfa asked.

"Yes I did, I moved to the UK after my graduation to continue my education, where I met my wife and we fell in love but from the beginning, I told her about you and she was in support of the whole finding you but when I found you I discovered your "dad" had just passed away so I told your mom we should wait before we tell you" Mr Austin said.

"But how did you find me when you lived in the UK?" Engfa asked with confusion.

"We just moved back at the time, My wife and I had just told Becky and Charlotte we were taking a break and they both were not happy especially Charlotte and she ran away from home and we searched for her everywhere......" Mr Austin said before being cut off by Engfa.

"Charlotte was the girl me and mum found at the lake the day we went on a work," Engfa said surprised.

"Yes and when your mum informed me they found her I did not know it was her till I got to the lake and then I realised you were my daughter the day I saw you, so technically you and Charlotte have met before," Mr Austin said.

"You guys are soulmates," Freen said chuckling.

After Freen said that Engfa just blushed and smiled 

"Engfa I know it been a year since you found out I was your father but I have loved you since your mother told me she was pregnant and I still do but I am ready to wait for you no matter how long I may take I will wait," Mr Austin said.

"I just need time and I know that you care I can see the effort you are putting in," Engfa said.

Mr Austin's secretary knocked and the attention shifted to her entering the office.

"Sir you have a meeting and the clients have arrived," The secretary said.

"Okay, what about Charlotte and Becky?" Mr Austin asked.

"Sir Miss Charlotte called in saying she will be absent for the meeting and Miss Becky is at another meeting," The secretary said.

"Okay, I will be there in 5 minutes, you can leave now," Mr Austin said to the secretary.

The secretary exits the office.

"Girls I have to go, we can continue talking in our next meeting," Mr. Austin said exiting his office.

Freen and Engfa exit the office and head to their car.

*IN THE CAR*

"I didn't know we were both ready for marriage," Freen said looking at Engfa quizzingly 

"What do you mean by that?" Engfa shot back.

"You know what I mean, you always said marriage is like a prison and you don't ever want it, what changed?" Freen said.

"Charlotte changed me and I love Charlotte and I want to have a future with her," Engfa said looking out the window.

"You have fallen hard" Freen chuckled.

"I can say that for you too," Engfa said laughing.

"We can both say we hit the jackpot" Freen laughed.

"When do you plan to propose?" Engfa asked Freen.

"Maybe after you, I don't want to steal your thunder," Freen said.

"You know what?, we can do a double proposal," Engfa said smiling at her plan.

"That is a good idea but it is charlottes birthday," Freen said.

" And it is also the day of our company's product launch day so you know there will be a party we can just propose and Charlotte also has something to remember with her sister," Engfa said.

"Okay we should do it, I already have the ring, what about you?" Freen asked Engfa.

"I also have the ring just waiting for that day," Engfa said.

The two sisters were happy with their plan and hoped the girls would say yes.
