{The Moon Family}

4:58 am

The birds had just awakened and already singing their lovely music, Nightmare was in the kitchen making breakfast, he usually liked being up before everyone and getting breakfast situated so his brothers could eat after they got up and got dressed, he was usually very busy in the mornings with making sure everyone was awake and getting everything prepared, not to forget he finishes his homework, it's not easy finishing all your homework when you have two jobs. Nightmare would stare at the cooking batter he had placed on the pan resting on the flame of the stovetop, it's been so long since he and his brothers seen their parents, after he had to run away with his brothers to escape their mother, he's lost all sorts of contact with her, sometimes he wonders how she's doing without them, but maybe that's just him foolishly hoping she cares.

He would let out a soft tired sigh as he finished making the pancakes and would turn off the hot stove before putting the pancakes on a plate next to the bacon and eggs he had made just minutes ago, he made sure it was set up so his brothers could just get some on their own, he trusts they won't be too messy over it nor fight, though they usually fight about everything. He would grab a plate and get his food before walking over to the table to take a seat, he had a while before he had to wake up his brothers for school, so he would open the book he had left on the table and begin to work on his homework, hoping he'll be able to get it done before he has to wake his family.

Dust yawned as he sat up on his bed, his blanket falling down his body, he groaned tiredly as he glanced at the clock, he knew it was time to get up. He would let out a sigh as he realized his older brother had probably gotten distracted once again with their school work, meaning he would have to wake up the younger ones. He would lift the blanket off his body as he carefully lifted himself out of bed and stepped on the cold floor. He slowly made his way to his closet to grab his clothes, they weren't all that clean since he was always too busy or tired to clean his clothes, and what's wrong with wearing your clothes a few extra times?

Once dressed he would grab his phone and walk out of his room, silently closing the door behind him. He would walk down the long hallway filled with the doors that lead to his brothers' rooms, he would glance at Cross's room for only a moment before walking away to go to Killer's, he knew Cross would wake up on their own and he honestly didn't care if they did or not. He knew Killer would wake up Horror for him, so he would only have to worry about Error once they were awakened.

Dust would make his way over to Killer's room and knock on the door a few times before waiting to see if he could hear them, after a bit of waiting he would knock on the door again, this time being louder, he knew Killer gave a bit of trouble with waking up sometimes, but he wasn't going to just let them sleep in. He would eventually open up the door to see Killer still laying in bed asleep, he would hesitantly walk over to them and place a hand on his brother before shaking them. "Killer, It's time to get up."

Dust was trying to be patient with his little brother but he was a little worried about them too since it's been harder to wake them up lately. He would try not to think about it once Killer sat up, assuming they were just tired or something, but he did let them know he was worried. "You okay?"

"I'm fine, Dust. Just stayed up late playing video games again." Killer said tiredly, but Dust had a feeling that wasn't entirely true, he didn't want to make anything worse for his brother, especially since all of them had been down lately because of their mother, she wasn't all that great. Dust would nod and speak in a low tone, trying not to push Killer or make them upset, "Okay, just hurry up and get ready, and take better care of yourself." Dust would look down at Killer who was looking up at him from the bed with a slightly forced smile, but he could tell they only smiled to make him stop worrying, it's not going to work though, he knew his brother far too well to know when a smile is genuine or not, "Get dressed and don't fall back asleep."

Dust turned around and left Killer's room, he decided the next place to look would be Error's room. He placed his hands in his pocket as he walked over to the door, though he took out one hand and gently knocked on their door, a few seconds after he knocked he could hear Error standing up, he would wait outside the door and lean against the wall next to it, just being patient for his brother, assuming they were getting dressed currently.

Error grabbed his jacket and slipped it on, it was the last piece of clothing he needed to put on before shoving his phone into his pocket and opening the door, he looked at Dust for a moment as he turned off his bedroom light, he would speak in a tired tone, "Sup." Dust gave a nod as a greeting, he knew they weren't much of a talker, and that was fine with him, he didn't care. "Let's go," he said as he led Dust to the kitchen, walking together in a slight silence, beside the loud noise of Killer running to Horror's room.
