"Dok-ssi!"

Tears welled in my eyes as I pleaded with the person before me, his gaze filled with inner conflict. My lips quivered, my mind a whirlwind of thoughts, and my sobs uncontrollable.

The surrounding noises faded into the background, my entire focus consumed by the figure in front of me.

"You can't leave! Please, stay..." My voice began strong but faltered as he moved farther away from my grasp. No... I shook my head in denial, clutching at my aching heart.

As if sensing my anguish, he glanced back with sorrowful eyes. Hope sparked in my chest, my eyes lighting up.

"...Dok-ssi?"

Suddenly, my breath was caught in my throat, veins pulsed in my neck as I struggled for air. I gazed at the man I yearned for, watching as his arm extended toward me, hand forming a slow fist as if grasping at something. Furrowing his brows, a lone tear trailed down his cheek as he mouthed words that confirmed my fears.

'I'm sorry...'

With a heavy heart, I missed his final words before darkness claimed my vision.

I could hear the rhythmic chug of a train as it traversed its tracks, evoking a sense of nostalgia within me. Grief engulfed my heart, and cries similar to a newborn escaped my lips.

I wept, wailed, and thrashed like an baby. My arms flailed in desperation, echoing the tantrums of a child. Ear-splitting screams pierced the air... like a baby?

Then, as I blinked open my eyes, tiny hands came into focus. Faces of strangers surrounded me, their expressions a mix of joy and bewilderment.

My cries ceased abruptly as I took in the unfamiliar scene before me.

'Who were these people?'

As confused as me, the strangers exchanged uncertain glances, their confusion evident at my sudden silence. They scanned the area, and a man in a white coat approached them.

'...Dok-ssi?'

Their murmurs filled the air, and silent tears traced my cheeks.

The woman who cradled me looked alarmed, gently shaking me while murmuring soothing words. Her soft hum lured me into a peaceful slumber, and the world faded into darkness once more.

-

I can still vividly recall the flutter of his white coat in the wind, yet his face remained a mystery. Every detail from his eyes to his lips was blurred.

I mourned for his presence, shrouded in familiarity yet veiled in mystery, as my vision faded.

My eyes fluttered open to the sunlight streaming through a window. I squinted against the brightness, shielding my eyes with my hand. However, something caught my attention beyond my grasp, prompting me to lower my hand.

As awareness dawned upon me, I found myself facing something I had seen countless times before. It was unmistakable, filling me with anger and disgust.

A status window.

Unconsciously, I clenched my tiny fists-My hands that were as small as a baby. Wait, a baby?

Emotions drained from me as confusion took hold.

Slowly, I raised my hand into my line of sight. It was indeed as small as a baby's! Why were my hands so tiny? How had they become so small? Why?
