Your journey starts off after a hard day work in the vault as a vault dweller of Vault 421. You are in your apartment relaxing, sitting on your couch next to the radio, listening to your favourite music and drinking the most fantastic coffee you have ever tasted and thinking you're going to have a peaceful day today. Then, all of a sudden, the microphone spoke up so loud, making you drop your cup of coffee over your brand new vault-tec jumpsuit. It was the Overseer calling out to you, saying your full name to come and meet him on the upper levels of the vault immediately before they get security to fetch him themselves, VERY VIOLENTLY! So, you quickly got up, left your apartment, and quickly made your way there.
As you reach the Overseer's offices, wondering what was going on and why you were called like this, two Security guards stood at the front door of the offices waiting for you. They then escort you through the door next to the office, down unfamiliar hallways and rooms you had never been through before. You kept walking until you all reached the end of the corridor and saw a massive Vault door with a big machine key to open it. standing in front of the Vault door was the Overseer waiting for you, with four now Security guards focus stand behind him. You start worrying as the guards behind you start pushing you slightly to move forward, and the Overseer greets and to you for bringing you here and tells you there is a severe problem going on. You see the Fusion core batteries that kept this Vault running for decades are now starting to be fried up and about to run out of them in the next three or four months, so they need someone to fetch some new ones out there in the dangerous wasteland and that person is you, CONGRATULATIONS!
You are now terrified cause you remember what your fellow Dweller said that the outside world was filled with bandits, mutant monsters, and, worst of all, radiation poisoning. You gulped nervously to that thought as The Overseer told you not to worry as he called two guards over carrying some stuff to you. One was holding a small backpack bag for a few days' worth of rations, and the other was holding a wooden tray with a few weapons on it. The Overseer said that once you have found at least one fusion core, there will be a massive reward and be the hero of the vault when you return. If not.... Well, we will honour your bravery, until two weeks later, you will probably be forgotten and will have to send someone else. Just like Mitchell pointing to a guard who mopped the floor with a massive puddle of blood, saying that he had an unfortunate accident when he refused to go on this quest and he is hoping that you don't make the same mistakes. You start to shiver in fear as your legs begin to wobble like Jelly, and your heart is pounding really quickly like a mounter. Then, walk over to the guards before they decide to kill you, picking up the bag and putting it over you. But as you pick up the weapons, the guards quickly draw their weapons out, and you quickly drop them back on the tray and put your hands up high, confused about what you did wrong. Just as you were about to freak out and die, The Overseer called out to the guards to stand down, then apologises to you for not explaining.
You can only choose one of these weapons on the tray because weapon surprises are limited, and we need every resource they need for the Vault. You can tell if he is being a lying dick cause these weapons to look like something they found either in a forgotten locker or in the trash. But still you don't have a choice in the matter and needed to choose a weapon, Right Now!

First was a wooden baseball bat, wrapped around with a chain on the tip of it. It's not a gun or range weapon, but at least it's a good melee weapon to defend yourself in close combat. (Go to A)

made from junk and spare parts, created by one of the engineers who used to live here before he was killed for trying to take over the Overseer's power. The never or the security guards ever got the changes to use it and only has six rounds in it. But it's useful in range combat. (Go to B)

One old and very concerning grenade had been duck taped around the base, a small crack above where the pin is and carved written on the bottom of it said 'last re-' the last bit has been scarred out. (Go to C)
