What would've someone think when they saw, well, of the top of your head, their adoptive father killing a robber and drinking their blood? Because that was something little [Name] was experiencing. To think that her sweet gothic white-colar organised-religion-hating father that never goes out in broad daylight is a vampire? Maybe that last part should've been a hint. You run back to your room and lock the door.
What are you going to do? Nothing? Yeah, that sounds good. It's not like he saw you witness any of that in the first place. There's nothing to be afraid of.

You're sitting at the table for breakfast. Your dad sets a bowl of oatmeal with fruit and a cup of tea. He hasn't said a thing since you got up. He just took a seat and just ate. It was unusual because he would at least ask if you slept well. Today, he didn't ask anything. He's just sitting there and sipping his wine.
"I know you saw me kill that man." And that's how he decided to start a conversation.
"When were you going to tell me you were a vampire?"
"I thought you got the hint. Especially since we're living in an old gothic mansion that looks haunted." Yeah, that was supposed to be your second hint. Guess you've just been living in denial for so long that you ended up believing yourself.
"So, are there like other monsters?"
He looks at you in disbelief.
"You've met Mrs. Cain. She's a werewolf!"
"Oh, I just thought she had a rear genetic thing going on."
Now, he's just staring at you dumbfounded before shaking his head.
"Alright, you need to go out and socialize with people."
"I know." You say while continuing to eat your food.
