I awake to the blaring sound of my alarm. It's time to be up already?

I lean across my bed, which is covered in clothing and books, to turn off my alarm. After doing so I lay back with a groan.

I did NOT want to get up.

Why did I even have my alarm set?

And that, is when it clicked. As soon as I remembered I rose up super quick, jumping out of bed to get ready while throwing everything I own into my suitcases.

Me and my sister, Bella, would be leaving to go stay with our father, Charlie. God how I have missed him. Sure, it's only been a few months since the summer, but I'm allowed to miss my dad. Aren't I?

Anyways, we were leaving to stay with him so mom may travel around with Phil. This way we aren't having to move from place to place.

I glanced at my door as I hard a knock on the frame. There stood Bella. I smiled so wide I thought I was turning into the Cheshire Cat from Alice in Wonderland. Great story by the way.

'Yes Isabella?' I spoke, my tone was slightly quiet from having just awoke, but it still came out soft and silky when I spoke.

She just glared at me, shifting on her feet as if uncomfortable. She then spoke. 'It's just Bella. You know this'.

'Ah, indeed I do. But you know me, dumb brain I mean' I chuckled at my own words, moving around my room as we spoke back and forth. Though I noticed her tone. She wasn't happy to be speaking with me. Had mom sent her to watch me pack?

'Why are you up here Isabella?' I asked, stopping in my tracks and turning to look at her. Well, more so her shoulders. I had trouble with looking at people head on.

She huffed, and I glanced up long enough to see her roll her eyes In annoyance. 'She sent me up here to make sure you wouldn't do anything stupid. You remember what happened the last time you were left alone, Carly.'

And at that I really did freeze. It was as if time had stopped and my lungs weren't moving, as if I couldn't breathe. And my heart felt as if it wasn't pumping, causing my skin to grow cold. It was like, the stars had ordered a stop in time.

I indeed knew what happened. And I did not like the result of it. But that's a story for later, isn't it?

I ended up taking a deep breath in before I nodded, 'yes dear sister I do know' I went back to packing.

Soon enough, I had finished and she led me outside to where mom and Phil were. Phil was placing Bella's bags in the trunk, and mom came up to give us hugs. I handed Phil my bag, and waited for my turn.

Mom let go of Bella after speaking with her, and turned to me with sad eyes. She then hugged me, hugged me so tight I thought she might never let me go again.

'I love you sweetheart. Please, if anything happens and you need help, call me' she said as she pulled away, a sad smile playing on her face.

I smiled back, my eyes beginning to fill to the brim with the salty liquid that would soon fall. I knew what she meant. I gave a nod, and hugged her again before Phil finally pulled us apart.
