LSU shooting and point guard Nina Lowery entered the transfer portal this week, announcing the end of her LSU basketball career. Fans have rarely seen the player, leaving her freshman year for a knee injury and LSU coach Kim Mulkey rarely playing her, even after Lowery made her return fully healed. In the few games Lowery did play, she dominated, fans say. Easily scoring points and playing exceptional defense. It is still unknown as to why Coach Mulkey barely gave her any minutes. On Monday, it was announced that Nina Lowery entered the transfer portal, but she has not given any information as to where she will be transferring too, but fans hope somewhere where she will have more court time. Where do you think Nina Lowery will go?

i stare at my phone, scrolling through all the comments under an article about my transfer. most were positive, thank god, but there were the comments that said i was a trash player and should just be happy for my place on the lsu team. i sigh and close my phone, letting it fall to my chest.

i was going to uconn. one of the only places that would take me and the best option by far. if it weren't for one tiny, itty bitty thing. the thing actually being a 6'0 giant, paige bueckers. i didn't want to see her again, even though it had been almost 4 years. she had broke my heart, going off to become a basketball star, leaving me behind. she hadn't even tried to salvage us. i just left for lsu and two weeks later, she left for uconn. she didn't even try to text me. eventually i just blocked her.

someone barging into my room tears me out of my pity party. my roommate drops her phone on my bed and leaves, pointing at the device, which was on speaker phone.

"yes?" i ask, hesitantly.

"nina lowery!" my best friend, zoey pollock screamed. "why haven't you posted yet?! the social media team is waiting for you to announce your transfer!"
