12. A loss

Jake's pov

I'm finally being discharged by the hospital after 4 days , 4 long days and aera never came to visit me , not even once .

Did i really hurt her that bad.....?

I sigh as i put my stuff inside my bag and get ready to leave suddenly the door bursts open , revealing everyone including.......Aera..

"Hyung!" Sunoo , jungwon who couldn't meet me the past few days jump on me giving me a bear hug as i chuckle. Jay just laughs from behind waving his hand and does a fist bump with my free hand. "Hey bud! Looking better now". I just laugh but end up groaning as they are hugging too hard. "Yah! Get off me you rascals , you're pressing on my wound" they immediately let go of the hug and scratch the back of their necks.

"Haha we were just missing you hyung , we were worried" sunoo says sulking and jay smacks both of their heads. "Better behave next time kids" heeseung makes a so done face at him . "Jeez jay the father figure you are" jay glares at heeseung who raises both of his hands in surrender "ok ok sorry". Everybody ends up laughing and in between i catch aera smiling after so long , i cant help but smile as well.

Suddenly we both have an eye contact and but she instantly breaks it off.

Ouch...that hurt.

I sigh walking towards her when Sunghoon drags her outside with him leaving me dumbfounded there . Im about to follow them but the rest of the guys drag me back inside the room for the past event details. And i'm left there to tell them everything while wondering where did the two go.

Aera's pov

I finally saw jake after days , thank god he's healing . I wont lie i was worried to death not being by his side wondering how he's doing and who's taking care of him properly with the others being busy. I could sense his gloomy mood light up when he saw me but i couldn't keep the eye contact with him. I did wanted to talk but i dont know how it was getting awkward. I guess Sunghoon deserves a thanks since he brought me outside.

Im sitting at the cafeteria lounge of the hospital and Sunghoon comes back with two ice creams. I tilt my head in confusion looking at him to why he bought ice creams and THAT TOO in a hospital. Im about to speak when he shoves the bar inside my mouth telling me to shut up and eat. I take a bite and speak "why ice cream in a hospital, i thought we were here to meet jake" he sighs before replying to me "i know we are here to meet jake but i saw your sad face and awkwardness while meeting jake so i thought to cheer you up" he simply says leaning on his chair .

I blink my eyes multiple times before grinning like a silly kid " thank you, for noticing" i look down while holding the ice cream as Sunghoon chuckles "happy to help and yah! Eat the ice cream before it melts or you'll end up throwing tantrums" he pretends to make an annoyed face covering his ears as i laugh.

"YAH! AERA! SUNGHOON! LETS GO!" i turn around at heeseungs voice calling us and see jake staring more like boring holes in our souls with his gaze. His gaze makes me nervous, as I instantly get up and walk towards them without looking at jake.

I hope we make up with each other .... This isnt good at all...

Jake's pov

Right now we are going back to the hideout to grab a few things before going to our house. I asked to drive my car but heeseung insisted since my shoulder is still healing he'll drive , he even convinced aera to go with us in my car. Sunghoon didnt look happy about it but he gave up going with the others in a different one.
