Jake's pov

Well we weren't planning this but oh god look at the mess we created. The paper bags are everywhere , the balloons scattered all over the room , the party poppers fill the table and the fairy lights tangled up , while jungwon and jay are making an attempt to untangle them.

"Wheres mom?" I ask sunghoon who's lending me a hand in hanging the "HAPPY BIRTHDAY PRETTY WOMAN" in the back yard. "Mom took her for a tea party in the park with the other ladies, apparently she has some NEW GOSSIP to tell" his remark makes me giggle as we walk out the back door. "as long as she's distracted , it's fine"

Both of us get busy , helping the others set up the back yard. I just place the crate of soda cans on the ground when my attention to the rattling of the cans from the back door's entrance. A chuckle leaves my lips seeing aera struggle carrying the heavy crate.

This girl.....

I make my way to the concrete from where she carefully steps down. "Let me carry this for you" i say and try to take the crate from her but she takes a step back , shaking her head sideways , indicating a no. "I can carry this myself" with that said she tries to walk away but the crate almost falls from her hands , my reflexes immediately acting up , grabbing it. "Sure you can wonder woman" i playfully grin when she narrows her eyes , throwing daggers at me with them , biting her inner cheek. "Whatever"

I laugh when she rolls her eyes and goes to where yeji , Heeseung, sunoo and Sunghoon are. "Why are you sulking now?" Yeji asks eyeing me and strokes back the lose strands of hair covering her face. "Oh it's nothing" she shrugs and then turns to help heeseung who's setting up the tables. "Oi did you say something to her?" Sunghoon asks with a straight face instantly making me shake my head. "No way , why would i? I just teased her a little" i retort with a straight face . Both of us burst out laughing knowing we both are kidding.

"Bwahahahaa- OW! WHO WAS TH- oh aera" Sunghoon hisses in pain when someone kicks his leg which is none other than aera herself , standing behind him with a pissed off look. " you two are no different from each other , jerks" she mutters the last word underneath her breath but audible enough for us go hear and walks off flipping her hair at his face.

"Looks like i just made your girlfriend mad" he scratches the back of his neck , and i pat his shoulder
Reassuring him , but more like a taunt. "Dont worry , she gets mad because your just park Sunghoon" and walk away with him , standing still , bewildered by my response . "Yah! What the hell is that supposed to mean"i cackle when i see him frowning and turn around to see aera standing right beside me talking with yeji. An idea pops in my mind and i grab her by the arm rushing inside. "So then-HEY! JAKE WHAT THE HELL!?"

"Sorry yeji , im borrowing her for a second" aera doesnt get a chance to speak neither do i let yeji yell at me for being annoying again. I drag her upstairs with her almost tripping but she balances herself and pinches me once we reach my room. "Yah! Slow down why the hell were you dragging me as if i would run away if you let go of me" the crease formed due to her frowning makes me want to erase it with my fingers but i can't help but chuckle since she looks adorable.

"Alright fine my lady , now close your eyes"

"Eh? Why?"

"Just do what i said"

She looks at me with her doe eyes , trying to ask whats going on but irked , i turn her around by her shoulders and cover her eyes with my hands. "No peeking rose" i warn her when she tries to push my hands away. "Tch fine" she sulks and i kick the slightly ajar door , taking her inside. "Now on the count of 3 i'll remove my hands ok?" She bobs her head in agreement.
