WHEN FINN told me he wanted to talk, I was quite honestly a little scared. It's not that we never talked... it's just that he's never worded it like that.
I hear my doorbell ring, and I know that it's him. I open the door, and he seems a little nervous.
"Hi, Finny. Are you alright?" I ask him, and he nods.
"Yeah, I'm fine. I just... didn't get a lot of sleep." He lies, and I just decide to let him think I believe it other than arguing with him since this doesn't seem like the time.
I let him in, and he sits down on my couch, but far enough away from me that we can face each other while we talk.
"Quinn, you know I really care about you." He says seriously, and I nod, suddenly extremely anxious about what he's here for.
"Of course I know that. Finn— what's all of this about?" I question, and he grabs my hands, trying to calm me down.
"Don't be anxious, Q. It's okay." He whispers, and I take a few deep breaths to calm down.
"Are you ready?" He asks softly, and I nod, even though I'm not quite sure what I'm supposed to be ready for.
He takes a deep breath, seemingly preparing himself for it. He runs a hand through his messy blonde hair before speaking.
"I'm breaking up with you." He says softly, avoiding my eyes.
My eyes widen, not expecting that. "Wh— what? Finn, why? We were perfectly fine yesterday."
