When I came on the street I realized to one was around. Not a single soul. I knocked on all my neighboor's doors but no one answered. I got a shiver down my spine. What's happening?

Present

As I strolled through the quiet streets of the neighborhood, a sense of solitude enveloped me. There wasn't a soul in sight, just rows of houses with closed curtains and shuttered shops. I ventured into the police station, hoping for some sign of life, but it too lay empty and abandoned. And let me tell you, the state of the cars parked along the road was enough to turn anyone's stomach – moldy sandwiches, half-eaten snacks, you name it, they had it.

As the sun dipped below the horizon, casting long shadows across the deserted landscape, I couldn't help but feel a chill creep down my spine. The only source of light in the darkness was a towering building nearby. I recalled my friend mentioning they worked there, situated right across from the mall and just a stone's throw from the gas station. Its imposing presence loomed over the neighborhood, a solitary sentinel in the night, its windows glowing faintly against the backdrop of darkness.

I looked at it, I was confused and questions were building in my mind, I was a little scared but didn't show it much. My heart beat was faster than normal and my eyes widened. A small wind put hair in my face as I stared at the huge screen lighting in the dark city.

I saw that the screen was pointing at another light, probably some building, in that area I think was the Middle school my best friend went few years ago. I walked slowly and calmly towards it. I walked past a corner shop where i grabbed a small lollipop and a gum with watermelon taste. When I finished walking and stepped in front of the school. I stared at it and noticed that people were inside. I rushed in and looked around, everyone was calm....except one, I didn't want to show my panicking...which wasn't that big, i was just scared from confusion.

I noticed a table with phones on it and a paper with 'One per person' so i took one phone and went to the corner of the room noting everyone's expressions. There was a guy around their 40s  with black hair and blue eyes. Another men next to a man who looked like two bestfriends, or at least someone close to each other. Then I saw a woman around her 20s. She was tall and had short black hair and visibly red lipstick. A sunglasses on her summer shirt. Next to her was a girl who was really young, probably still in middle school, poor her, she's so scared.

My attention was curently drawn to two men sitting on the ground nearby. One of them, around my age, had striking blonde hair that caught the fading light of the light in the school. His companion, also blonde, seemed engrossed in their conversation. I couldn't help but notice how the light played off the younger man's features, accentuating his attractiveness. It was one of those moments where time seemed to slow down, allowing me to take in every detail – the way his eyes lit up when he laughed, the easy smile that graced his lips. It was as if the world around us faded into the background, leaving only the two of them in focus. But I only found him attractive, he wasn't the type of guy I date anyway.
