chapter 1

*melody's pov*

"why did we have to come to their concert" I asked again annoyed. my friends decided that they would drag me along to a one direction concert. im not a huge fan of theirs although I do like a few songs not even going to deny it. "if I knew you were going to complain this much trust me we wouldn't have brought you!!" my friend Shelby said. I came to this with Shelby, Jake, and his girlfriend Melissa. finally we got in and the concert begun.

1 hour 45 minutes later~ "finally the concert Is over" I said. I know my head was going to explode if I had to take any more of that torture." Jake said laughing. "hey guys im going to find a bathroom you can go to the car. ill meet you guys their." "ok..." they said in unison. I waited for about 10 minutes for the arena to get cleared so there weren't many people and so I wondered off to find the bathroom. when I got a text from Shelby saying "HEY IM GOING TO FIND YOU INSIDE CAUSE JAKE AND MELISSA ARE "BUSY" IN THE CAR HAHHAA..." "ok" I replied. when I bumped into someone and got milkshake splattered all over my favorite shirt. "watch where you are walking. you just spilled my food!!" screamed a blonde haired boy. "im so sorry I wasn't paying attention." "just get out of here!!" he screamed. well looks like I wont be finding a bathroom I thought. so I went back into the arena and got on the stage. WOW I cant believe this is what being on a stage feels like. "hey I've been looking for you" Shelby screamed as she came running on stage. "what are you doing up here? what if security comes? what's that stain on your shirt??" "Shelby relax no one is coming and I just wanted to see what being up on a stage felt like since one day I want to fill a stage. you know what my goal in life is. and the stain is a long story" I said. "yes I know you want to be the star in the play wicked one day." she said. "go have a seat Shelby for I will give you a sneak peak to one of my shows know before im famous since one day your going to come see me perform. " " I cant wait for that day since your a talented person melody. so let me see your act." Shelby said to me. "ok so I will be singing to you the song that would be my main one called defying gravity which is the best song through out the play." and so I begun.

SOMETHING HAS CHANGED WITHIN ME, SOME THING IS NOT THE SAME, IM THROUGH WITH PLAYING BY THE RULES OF SOMEONE ELSES GAME, TOO LATE FOR SECOND GUESSING, TOO LATE TO GO BACK TO SLEEP, ITS TIME TOO CLOSE MY EYES AND LEAP,

ITS TIME TO TRY DEFYING GRAVITY, I THINK ILL TRY DEFYING GRAVITY, KISS ME GOODBYE IM DEFYING GRAVITY, AND YOU WONT BRING ME DOWN...

as I finished that line someone interrupted. "you've got talent milkshake girl." I saw the blond boy come closer. "sorry about what I said I should've been nicer. I just get mad easily when people take away my food. im niall by the way, niall horan." "umm.. hi im melody and this is Shelby." I said. "your not going to freak out or take picture??" he asked innocently. "yess... omg I cant believe it niall horan!!! " Shelby was freaking out. " no cause I aint a huge fan and if you excuse us, we got to go. " I said. "melody don't be rude to him. look at him you have a thing for blonde people with blue eyes and accents. he's the full package." she said out loud which got me to blush. why is she so dumb sometimes.???  I noticed niall also blushing. no I must have just imagined it. "alright niall well it was nice to meet you but we got to go. it was nice meeting you, come on Shelby. " "wait melody can I at least get you number?? snapchat? instagram.??" he said. " ok here's my snapchat let me see your phone," I put in my username "bye niall." I said and we left. 

"i cant believe we just met niall freaking horan melody." Shelby wouldn't shut up about it. "WOW jake and Melissa are asleep lets just hurry up and get home its almost 10:00 pm." I said.

 -25 minutes later-

" ok were at my apartment you can all spend the night tonight" I said. "thanks they all said. I gave them blankets and at 11:30 we fell asleep.
