It's been three years since me and Princess Fallon became friends. Ever since we became friends life has been nice. We're practically joined by the hip. I am now her knight and bodyguard and the search for a fiance has stopped. Me and Fallon entered the entrance of the palace to meet her new fiance Prince Castiel. I held her hand as she became anxious letting a thousand thoughts run free in her mind. We then see a fancy carriage arrive in front of the palace. There he was Prince Castiel the prince of Lunaris finally here to meet his fiance the princess of Ashyn. I put on my best smile and gently nudged Fallon's pale and icy cold shoulder "Let's not be rude Princess let's go give the prince a warm welcome!" With every nerve-wracking step we get closer to Prince Castiel I then bow as Fallon shakes his hand as a greeting. The more they get to know each other and laugh the more I get jealous. I sigh not knowing what I feel could it possibly be envy? No haha that's outrageous, me jealous? No way! Thoughts run through my head before getting broken by a soft voice. "Maya? Did you hear me?" I look at Fallon confused. "I said let's get dinner!" I laugh awkwardly "Right my apologies princess." During dinner everyone is quiet. I sigh and get up. "Please excuse me. I have some errands to run." I then get up and leave. I walk through the Garden of where me and Fallon first became friends needing some space and fresh air. A wave of guilt washes over me like a thousand stones. The guilt of lying to get out of an awkward dinner and the guilt of denial. Did I love the princess? Yes...but do I love her as a friend? To me it remains a mystery to my conflicted feelings. Who was I to know what love feels like? How would I even know if I ever felt it before? I sigh and lay down. I look at the sky and look at the clouds before resting my eyes. Even if I were to fall for her it would be against the laws...two women together? Ridiculous, who would accept that? I then open up my eyes to see a concerned princess. "Maya are you feeling alright?" I give a small smile. "I'm fine, just a bit tired." After talking for a bit we spent the day getting to know Prince Castiel. When the day is over I lay in bed thinking I then close my eyes and sigh knowing tomorrow brings a horrid schedule of wedding planning.
