𝙃𝙤𝙥𝙚𝙨 𝙘𝙧𝙪𝙨𝙝𝙚𝙙 𝙖𝙣𝙙 𝙛𝙤𝙧𝙜𝙤𝙩𝙩𝙚𝙣.. 𝙮𝙚𝙩 𝙨𝙩𝙞𝙡𝙡 𝙨𝙝𝙚 𝙜𝙤𝙚𝙨 𝙤𝙣 𝙧𝙚𝙨𝙞𝙡𝙞𝙚𝙣𝙩

Jinx stopped moving. Lyric looked at their surroundings, her clothes were filled with slashes as they'd run into a few monsters now they stopped at some river.

"The River Acheron, also known as the river of pain, woes. Charon usually follows this river but never to Tartarus" Jinx said, she walked closer andas Lyric followed she began to hear it. Wailings and moanings of suffering of lost souls and as they got closer their voices got louder as they noticed the two approaching.

Lyric shuddered feeling uncomfortable in her skin as the voices complained and wailed of the gruesome ways in which they died almost all blaming the gods and their children, Jinx nodded seeing her discomfort "it has that effect on people, your mind must be really mentally strong"

Lyric thought back on the classes Dionysus and her used to take to strengthen her mental mind. "What are we doing here?"

Jinx kept looking at the water as if she expecting something to jump out or a boat would come and take her back to Hades' realm, Lyric really hoped the latter would happen. "We need to pay a toll for further passage, since you're getting back to the mortal world that means one sacrifice"

"First off, what do you mean by Toll? and one sacrifice I told you I'm not going anywhere without you Jinx" Jinx suddenly looked scary her eyes turned darker (well they were already almost black) what was once an almost warm looking onyx turned to a scary black. It kinda reminded her of the pit she suddenly had the itch to bow to the girl but she managed to fight it, the hot winds turned cold and Lyric suddenly missed the warm pit now it was a freezing hell hole wind billowing around them.

"I didn't want to do this Lyric but you leave me no choice, I cannot return to the mortal word with you I'm sorry but this is my punishment I can't break it"

Lyric gritted her teeth, "listen I know you killed a god but that was ages ago! I can convince Zeus to lift your punishment and you can stay at Camp Half-blood and maybe we can find a place for you too-"

"You can't! I'm bound here by ancient laws Zeus and the fates wove these chains themselves it took them 12 days!" Lyric then suddenly noticed why Lyric walked sluggishly sometimes, she cursed herself for not being able to see it before but now she did. Cuffed to Jinx's hands were golden glowing chains that went far behind them where they started? She couldn't tell.

"Their tied to my father" she revealed, "if I ever tried to escape I'd have to have help from a demigod and I'd have to battle my father keeping him incapacitated enough to unhook the chains even then if i don't find a stable place to keep the chain well I return back here."

"Why can't you just cut them?"

"I'm not the one destined to cut them as you know chaos and order must be balanced, seeing as it was overruled that i get punished so the fates entwined a prophecy with the chains that one day a brave demigod would free me" she let out a humorless laugh, "As if I'll ever escape to find anyone"

She turned to Lyric now wiping away the black tears that fell freely, " now you must go on your own Acheron would meet you soon by then I'll be gone just before-"

The ground shook, vacuums of chaos randomly appeared around the wasteland, sucking up nearby monsters and up to everything Jinx turned pale her hands shaking. "Jinx? what is it who's causing this?"

"I-I thought he w-was resting I-I'm s-sorry" her breathing grew irregularly, Lyric furrowed her brows as Jinx began to panic she looked around wondering what was troubling the girl, "Jinx who's resting what are you-"

Jinx gripped her face tightly, "get behind me swear on the river styx you won't interfere?" Jinx begged her but Lyric couldn't answer Jinx huffed frustratedly and suddenly Lyrics lips opened and out flowed the words "I swear on the river styx" she widened her eyes.

"Charmspea-"

"No, a more powerful divine speech now please go hide Lyric he's comi-"

"Who's coming?!"

Thud.

Thud.

The two turned around fearfully. Lyric had a feeling she'll never be able to get what she saw out of her head it would always hunt her...

Tartarus was hideously scary and huge. Lyric wanted to run for her life but she forced the fear down eyes tracing the primordial god's form starting with his black iron boots, each one aslarge as a coffin. His legs were covered in dark greaves; his flesh all thick purple muscle, like theground. His armored skirt was made from thousands of blackened, twisted bones, woven together likechain links and clasped in place by a belt of interlocking monstrous arms.On the surface of the warrior's breastplate, murky faces appeared and submerged—giants,Cyclopes, gorgons, and drakons—all pressing against the armor as if trying to get out.The warrior's arms were bare—muscular, purple, and glistening—his hands as large as cranescoops.Worst of all was his head: a helmet of twisted rock and metal with no particular shape—justjagged spikes and pulsing patches of magma. His entire face was a whirlpool—an inward spiral ofdarkness.

As he spoke she shivered hearing the rough voice of the god, how was he Jinx's father then she could see the resemblance (no offence Jinx) they had the same eyes if you focus on ignoring the whirlpool and when he laughed obviously noticing the two girls fear it resembled Jinx's.

But Jinx wa sbetter kinder more nicer than him, she didn't deserve such a fate trapped with her maniac father it's surprising he hadn't killed her ever since but then Lyric remembered the scratches and  bruises that never properly healed and felt fury wash over her as she stared at Tartarus a new feeling erupted in her, she could feel the wasteland's shadows crawling to her begging for her to lose control and teach the god a lesson she had to restrain for jinx sake.

"Hello daughter I see you've brought dessert?"
