"You put a few pieces of popcorn into your mouth as you stared at the TV screen, watching the scary movie intently.

Fiona sat beside you with the blanket pulled up to her face as she prepared to throw it over her head at any time.

"Don't you just love this movie?" You asked her.

"No!" She whined before screaming as a scary scene happened.

She moved closer to you before burying her face in your neck.

"What's wrong?" You chuckled. "This is a classic!"

"I don't like it!" She groaned. "It scares me."

"Oh, really? You? The same girl that's been in scary movies and a show about a killer doll?" You laughed in amusement.

"That's different." She whined. "When I work on Chucky, I'm not easily scared because I'm seeing everything going on and I know everything that will happen. This movie I don't and it's scary!"

"Oh, my poor girl," You frowned before putting your arms around her to pull her closer. "I was only teasing you. It's only a movie, baby."

"I know." She mumbled as she clung to you, gripping your shirt tightly.

She didn't want to watch the scene unfolding over the TV as the music became more intense and told her that something was about to happen.

And even though she knew it was coming, she still jumped and a loud shriek left her lips.

The popcorn in your lap fell to the floor and you tried not to laugh because you knew she was genuinely terrified.

"Oh, it's okay. I've got you, darling." You comforted and held her a little tighter.

She refused to glance at the screen as she clung to you like a little koala.

And each time the scary music played, she knew something terrifying was about to happen so she'd hold you a little tighter and let you distract her.

"Shh," You whispered as she jumped when the scary scene became intense.

Seeing her this way broke your heart.

You love this movie, it's easily one of your favorite films of all time.

But you didn't want to watch any more of it tonight.

It wasn't worth terrifying your girlfriend.

So you grabbed the remote and turned it off, causing Fiona to lift her head and gaze at you in confusion.

"What are you doing? You like that movie a lot."

"Yeah, but you don't." You said and stared at her softly. "You're scared and I don't want to watch it if you're this scared."

"I'm sorry." She pouted.

"Don't be. I can watch it on my own another day. We can watch something different tonight; something we both like."

She nodded.

You turned on another movie, settling on a comedy that you know you'll both enjoy.

But she stayed snuggled up to you as it played, making you chuckle before your heart began to skip beat after beat.

"I love you." You whispered and brushed your fingers through her hair. "My sweet, clingy girlfriend."

"I love you too." She smiled.
