Chapter- 1 "Cursed Geniuses"

Chapter- 1

"What's more scarier than a child with a weapon?"

"A child cursed with knowledge."

Evan looked outside through the window, the weather seemed pretty nice. Yet, the classroom was very noisy and filled with gossip.

"Hey, did you know Aishi was also included in that incident last night?"

"Aishi? Aishi Williams?"

"Yeah, that one girl in our class who had always topped in class! She went to the summer camp and on the last day, rumours spread that Aishi and a bunch of students from our school and other schools were brutally murdered in the night."

"Damn! That's horrible!"

"I know, right... I'm glad, I didn't go to that summer camp."

"Hey, did you guys know that the person who killed all those students in the summer camp was a Serial Killer? They've been popular recently."

"Geez, don't talk about Serial Killers!"

"You scared? Haha!"

The sudden appearance of the homeroom teacher made everyone shut their mouth as they greeted the homeroom teacher.

"We all might know about the summer camp incident. A lot of our students were severely injured and few of them ended up dying. We all are going to the Hospital to pay a visit to the injured students."

Everyone began to gossip again, however, Evan seemed uninterested in it. It didn't bother Evan that a person from the same school he goes to, died.

Nevertheless, later on, all of the students and the teachers went to the Hospital.

Evan entered a room and looked at a girl lying on it. Her entire body was covered with bandages, even her entire face. No one could say, they knew her due to the bandages.

Probably the wrong room...

Evan moved towards the door to exit the room however, the girl suddenly woke up and broke the glass beside her by accidentally sliding it.

It drew Evan's attention, and Evan ended up looking back. The girl's eyes were teary, she raised her hand, giving an inkling to Evan to come towards her. Evan's attention was drawn by seeing a necklace in the girl's hand.

Evan quickly approached the girl and snatched the necklace.

It indeed had two images inside it. Evan was too stunned to process anything after seeing himself and his older twin brother in the images.

It could only mean two things, either his brother was there when the incident happened or was murdered brutally there with other students. However, both probabilities were terrifying.

Evan maintained a calm composure and asked the girl after showing the images, "Did you see this person? Was he with all the students? Do you know what exactly happened there at night?"

The girl moved her hand and tried to say something in sign language.

Evan figured that the girl couldn't speak so, he asked again, "Was this person there? In that summer camp?"

The girl nodded.

"Did you see him getting slaughtered? Did he manage to escape?"

The girl panicked and grasped her head tighter and tighter, yet she didn't scream or perhaps... She couldn't scream despite her efforts.

"Calm down! Answer me, did he survive!?"

The girl's health was getting worse and Evan knew he couldn't ask her further questions. Yet, it was also important for Evan to know the least information to find his brother.
