"Time together as a family is a gift."

Later, at night. Agent Patrick Garrett came to the Hospital and took Evan and Daniel to his house.

"We're back, Lucia."

"Oh, you're back... "

"These kids will be staying with us for a while. This is Evan and this is Daniel."

"Hello, nice to meet you, Mrs Garrett. I'm Daniel."

"... Nice to meet you, I'm Evan."

"Oh, my come in, come in. You guys must be hungry, let's have dinner together." Mrs Garrett grinned brightly as she insisted Evan and Daniel to have dinner together.

Yet, both of them were also surprised to know that Mrs Garrett was pregnant.

"How old is the baby??" Asked Daniel out of curiosity.

"Oh, the baby is around 4 months." Mrs Garrett grinned as she answered Daniel's questions that made no sense to Evan.

Why even bother asking?

They all had dinner together and for the first time, Evan and Daniel felt the feeling of having a family dinner together.

Mr Patrick and Mrs Garrett chatted happily with Daniel and Evan as if they were their children.

The feelings were refreshing yet, it haunts them as well. How good can parents be?

"Uhm, I will help in doing the dishes!" Exclaimed Daniel as he finished his meal. Evan also finished his meal and spoke--

"I will help in doing the chores."

"Ah... You guys don't have to, the maid will do it. You guys just focus on studying, okay?" They all laughed and chatted for a while.

A few hours later.

"You guys can share that room there. We cleaned up that room for you both when we got a call from Chief Yuho. All right, you guys should go and sleep now, you have school tomorrow, right? I'll drop you school tomorrow. Goodnight."

"Goodnight, Agent Patrick!"

"Goodnight... "

"Hahaha, just call me Uncle Patrick."

Daniel and Evan nodded in agreement and went to their room.

There were two beds. A bunk bed to be exact.

"Woahhh! Awesome! I'll take the upper bed!"

"Do as you like."

Daniel climbed up the stairs and went for the upper bed, while Evan slept on the lower bed.

"Hey, Evan... Today was fun, no? Excluding your Kidnapping part and that conversation with Chief..."

"Who knows."

"Geez, why don't you talk nicely with me too!?"

"Because you're an idiot."

"I'm offended! Fine, I won't talk to you! Goodnight!!"

"Childish."

"Shut up!!"

They both closed their eyes and didn't say anything afterwards. But suddenly, Daniel questioned--

"Um, hey Evan... What about your brother? Are you not going to look for him? Also, what exactly happened when you were kidnapped by those people ugh what was their group called?"
