TS - 1

*Abhimanyu's POV*

Abhimanyu was returning home after having an ice-cream with his Rooh. Nowadays, he got caught in dealing with his biological son's depression and counseling that he almost could not make enough time for his princess. Everything could have been normal, everything could have been smooth and everyone could have got a closure if and only if he had behaved with some sense that night. How Abhimanyu wish that he was more careful that fateful night which costed Sharmaji, his life. Though Sharmaji's body was not found by the police after searching for days. They declared him as dead. Now at present, it's been a month after Abhinav Sharma fell off the cliff.
Abhimanyu was proven not guilty by his ex-wife Akshara Sharma, but Abhimanyu could not forgive himself ever. During Abhimanyu and Akshara's short span of love story, it was him who always ran behind her. It was him who was chanting her name non-stop! But now after six long years, seeing her in his past self infuriated him. Was he jealous of sharmaji? Yes he was, but that before accepting that Akshara will never be his!

So him inviting Sharmaji for a drink that night can be concluded as his pathetic attempt at embarrassing a good man if he caught got heavily drunk at his own birthday party? Why was he this reckless? For god's sake, he's a doctor! A drunk Abhinav went far too near the cliff's edge by mistaking a wrong direction to go back to the resort and an equally drunk Abhimanyu could not reach him fast. Now Abhinav Sharma's accidental death pained Abhimanyu as it was never his intention to gravely harm that good man. And he never wished his ex-wife to go through a heartbreak that is losing her lover/husband forever. He, himself felt that immense pain just some time ago.

*Flashback*
After Abhimanyu stooped low beyond his own belief and asked Akshara to consider reconciliation with him. And got brutally rejected, he drove back home to find Aarohi waiting for him to discuss some stuff regarding hospital. Abhimanyu never knew what took over him, he rushed in like a mad man and hugged Aarohi tightly. Aarohi was very much shocked, it was an understatement. She literally froze.

Aarohi: *gently tapping Abhimanyu's back* What happened, Abhimanyu??

Aarohi could feel her shoulder getting wet and Abhimanyu shaking. Aarohi sighed.

Aarohi: Is this about Akshara?

Abhimanyu: *crying* I begged her to comeback to me and she rejected.

Aarohi: *calmly* Of course, she will! Also what you did was wrong!

Abhimanyu: I know but couldn't help but ask one last time! It hurts Aarohi *hiccuping* I can't bring myself to digest that this seperation is forever!!!

Aarohi tightens her grip on Abhimanyu. A few moments pass in silence with Abhimanyu gathering himself in the hands of his friend and mother of his princess. The night was way too quite and gloomy for the two broken souls.

Aarohi: *voice breaking* The.... word.... "Forever" hurts!

Aarohi said without a preamble. Abhimanyu gathered himself to a bit and came out of Aarohi's embrace. His hands wiped his own tear tracks and looks away from Aarohi.

Abhimanyu: *clears throat* I'm sorry Aarohi! This was very uncalled for! I know that we're now good friends, but I shouldn't have hugged you like this. *guilty* I'm sorry if I made you uncomfortable by my actions.

Aarohi: *comforting* No need to apologize, I'm glad that I could be there for my friend! By this way I can repay for all the favours you've done for me. You were my rock and a father figure for my child for the last six years.
