~ Callie's POV ~

"You should've heard her scream. I've never laughed so hard in my life." I chuckled to Brady.

"Who in the world is gonna scream over a little garden snake?" He replied.

"One of my sister's little city-slicker friends. That's who." I sneered.

Brady grabbed my hand as our horses walked side by side down the dirt road.

"I'm so thankful to have you, Callie." Brady smiled.

"I can say the same about you." I smiled back.

My phone began ringing, ruining the moment.

"Hello?" I answered.

"Supper's ready. Better get back if you're going frogging with your daddy." My Momma said through the phone.

"Yes ma'am." I replied before hanging up.

"I've got to head back." I said to Brady. He frowned and I leaned in to kiss him.

"I'll call you later." He called as I galloped away on my horse.

After untacking and tending to my horse, I met my family in the dining room.

I washed up and sat with my parents and two sisters at the table.

"How was your ride with Brady?" My younger sister, Brooke asked.

"It was fine." I smiled.

"I don't like the guy. He's not good enough for you." My other, older sister, Mia butted in.

"That's your opinion." I tried my best to ignore her comment.

We made small talk all through dinner.

I guess I'll explain myself a bit. My name's Callie Marie Evans. I have long dirty blonde hair and green eyes. I'm everyone's definition of a "country girl". I love riding my horses, hunting, fishing, and competing in rodeos. I'm 19 years old and I have my own buisness called, "Gypsy Denim." It's rodeo and western attire online store. We also offer tack, saddles, headstalls, anything a cowgirl or cowboy needs. I'm the middle child and I guess you guys can already tell, I have a younger sister who's 14, and an older sister who's 24. I was born in Louisiana, but moved to Los Angeles, California about 4 years ago. We own a small horse farm right outside of La. I'm also dating my amazing boyfriend, Brady. He's my heart and soul. And that's about it with me.

My Daddy and I were frogging in a gully not too far from our farm. We had 15 frogs aboard already and we've only been out here for an hour.

"These are gonna make some good dinner Callie Marie." My daddy said.

He always called me Callie Marie. But, don't ask me why.

I nodded and something moving along the edge caught my attention.

I grabbed a net and scooped up the biggest frog we've caught yet.

"Look at the legs on him!" I examined the frog I had just caught.

"Good eyes!" Daddy complemented me.

-

I was awoken by a text message. Brady's name flashed against the screen.

"We need to talk." Was all it said.

"What do we need to talk about at 1 am?" I asked slightly annoyed.

"I haven't been able to sleep. You've been on my mind all night and I don't know how I'm going to tell you this." He texted back quickly.
