Chapter 1: Teyvat, for those weary.

Grey hair flowed down from her upside-down head, draping across the couch's side, as honey submerged eyes focused on the phone in her hands.
Reverie hotel's accommodation giving accompaniment from the crackling fireplace, and elegant music playing on the vinyl protruding from the wall.

The unbearably long day, had finally ceased it's momentum, and Stelle could finally take a breather as she laid in her hotel room, the one previously owned by Aventurine, who'd "graciously" given up his room with a lucky floor and room number.

It's been a while since she had that talk with Aventurine, who so happened to be in her room when she entered, and refused to leave no matter how many times she asked him to, most of it passed by in such a blur.
All she can recall is that coin trick he pulled on her somehow, she was pretty sure she still had the intricately decorated coin somewhere in her pockets.

Who knows how many system hours have gone by since she started to rest instead of entering the dream pool, and frankly she didn't care.

Many sounds were going through her head.

Though, if anything, the grey-haired girl, couldn't hear anything.
Words from... a woman in blue repeatedly ringing through her tired head.
She felt her brain's beat, as she shuffled more. For a place built on accommodating to every need, these couches were awful stiff, then again they expect you to be in the Dreamscape rather than hanging longingly in your hotel room.

She pulled up from her back, rummaged through her pockets, and stared at the peculiar object the woman had gifted her.

A strange artifact of sorts? It looked like a... paper talisman, which was new to Stelle who'd not seen anything but futuristic stuff since boarding the Astral Express.
Usually, it would be a hologram or screen engraved with a symbol, that's what she knew a talisman as. But bringing it to Welt to look at gave her this answer, so it had to be right.

Apparently, he couldn't transcribe what was written on it though, and told Stelle to remain cautious of attempting to use it, especially when some total rando gave it to her.

"Dreams are fake. At least here in this hotel," That voice called.
"But in another world, they are considered knowledge." Her pale arm had flung to the side, as she gestured to Stelle, who'd started reliving the scene in her head.

A moment after talking with the IPC's ambassador; Aventurine, who so happened to be waiting in line behind them.
Who stepped in due to the wait time caused because of them, then helping to resolve the "error" in the hotel's  system, unwanting at first then obliging the next.

Who'd —after she talked with him after the whole check-in incident— graciously gifted her 20k credits after she denied the 10k at the start, ah- that's beside the point.
She'd just walked a foot away from the front desk before being stopped by a woman in blue.

That... up there, the dialogue that started this flashback, yeah, that wasn't the first thing she said, so Stelle will recount things better now.

'Hello miss, are you busy? I have a question I've been asking other guests here. Do you mind?' The woman had asked, her tone, relatively friendly by Stelle's accounts.
Well, more like, she's met a lot of untrusting or untrustworthy people in the past. Who tended to keep things under... warp.

Stelle nodded, as she crossed her arms and a polite smile placed itself on her lips.

'Very good, wait. You haven't set foot in the dreamscape yet, have you? Well not matters, the answer might be more interesting coming from someone like you.'

Stelle hummed, her head shifting slightly on its edge.

'The Dreamscape or dreams... Knowledge or leisure distraction, which are they? Or this question; are you in control? Also, if you have an opinion on the dreamscape, feel free to share that with me as well.' The woman's arms interlaced, as she crossed her foot in front of the other.
