"It's another day in Kentucky today!" The radio chirps loudly and echoes throughout the trailer. I roll myself out of bed, pull my long blonde matted hair into a pony tail and walk to the kitchen. Everything is so close together in the trailer, I wish we still lived in our house. Dad says we left because of financial problems. I want to believe that but I can't. I won't.

"Hey bug! Time to get up sleepy head!" I whisper to my little brother. Jeremy is 7 now. It's hard to believe considering he's almost as tall as me and I'm 15. Jeremy slides his feet to the table and plops himself down in the booth. "Here's a plate of the best pancakes the world! Yours truly!" I say as I put a plate down in front of him. I sit across from him and watch him eat. "So did dad come home tonight?" Jeremy asks with a mouth full of pancakes. "No , but I'm going to go and look for him" I respond. "Where do you think he is?" Jeremy asks with his eyes lighting up. I can't tell him where he really is because Jeremy will want follow, and stay. "He's probably at the market." House. He's at the house. "Yeah your right!" I say kissing his forehead and walking out the door.

"Dad?" My voice echoes through the quite house. "Da-" my voice is cut off by an utter scream. I turn around to see my mother. Which you'd think would be comforting, if she hadn't died last year. I stand there frozen. "Mom?" I shiver at the sound of my voice. She turns around and walks to the back side of the stairwell the spirals down the entire house. I follow her reluctantly. She leads me down into the basement where I begin to hear crying. Definitely not creepy at all. Until I see him. Dad.
