"Are you seriously crying?" I turned around. And sure enough, Ciel was spewing tears like a fountain. I groaned. How is this any way to start off a mission? We weren't even out the door!
"Calm down, Ciel! We'll be okay." Takara claimed. I rolled my eyes, walking over to my cabinet. I can't stand when they act like this. If they weren't such sappy little pricks, maybe we'd get our job done faster. Thanks to them, we're practically the poorest agency in the country.
Either way, suiting up is one of my favourite parts of a mission, especially stealth. Stealth is probably my favourite because I get to test out a bunch of the new gadgets I made without having to actually fight anyone. My back still hurts far too much to physically punch down with someone else, so being able to lead stealth missions is a nice plus side for me. Today, I decided to put on my regular attire. Just a sleek black suit with a noise disc and a communicator. This way, we could keep in contact with Mizuki while out.
Today, I planned for us to infiltrate the Love Dive (and what a stupid name for an agency, seriously, they sound pathetic) base and steal their intel using our team's hacking abilities. Should have been easy, right? I mean, it's essentially like taking candy from a baby. Just a matter of tricking the dumb twats before they even know they were stolen from. But, no, they just had to ruin it, didn't they?
...
Walking up to the Love Dive HQ, I noticed a few things. It was covered in pink LEDs, lit up like a spoiled teenagers bedroom. Although our base has LEDs, these were seriously tacky. Shaped like hearts or strung up like fairy lights. What are they, children? I scoffed even by looking. Not to mention the fluffy lamps on their ceilings or the absolute assault that was their sleeping quarters. Pink wallpaper, pink floors, honestly the most disgusting room I'd ever been in. No blankspace is a massive mistake people make with interior design and- I'm getting far too carried away. On with the mission, eh? Get a better attention span.
Anyway, I specifically stationed everyone in the correct position, getting on the line with Mizuki. Easy. In and out. That's all we had to do.
"Mizuki, where do they store their central computers?"
"Should be in the Control Room, you'll have to pass a series of rooms to get to it though. For some reason they have better security than us. Wanna get that checked, or-?"
"Shut up, we can't afford that right now! Whatever, just... Do you spot any enemies around? Any guards or anything?"
"Nope, all clear!"
I strided through the halls, taking in my surroundings. Blowing my hair out of my face, I stepped towards a door. You needed a key card to get through.
"Dang it, how do we get through here then?"
"A key card? Think you can find one in the area? It'll be pretty tough- Unless you wanna kick the door down, hm?"
"I'd rather look around, thanks." I rolled my eyes, but I couldn't help but kick the door gently with my foot to check the weight of it. No chance that was coming down.
I took myself over to the sleeping quarters. Despite it's awful appearance, I thought it might be my best bet. Scouring the drawers of desks, looking under pillows. It was like trying to find a little girl's diary - infuriating. I have to admit, I did get quite so annoyed I almost screamed, but that wouldn't be very good for a stealth mission. Although, nobody was home. I do have to wonder where they are. I didn't have time to ponder for very long though as an alarm went off inside the building.
"God f*cking damn it... You had one job guys!" I groaned, putting my hand to my face. Idiots, the lot of them. I ran out of the 'dorms' or whatever they were supposed to be and into the main hall. "What happened?!"
"Ciel accidentally triggered the alarm...?" Takara chuckled sheepishly. Ciel cowered behind in tears.
"Ugh, I don't have time for this! Did you even find anything?!"
"Just this useless key card. I don't get why they even have it. What does it do?" Kiyoko tossed the card at me.
"...When did you find this?"
"Oh, like, 30 minutes ago."
"...Go f*ck yourselves." I turned on my heels and angrily scanned the card on the door, running through the rooms. I pretty much ignored any warnings from Mizuki and just barely skidded through the challenges by the skin of my teeth.
Finally, the Control Room. I walked up to the computer, putting my hands on the main panel. I plugged a USB port into the side of the computer and logged Mizuki onto the system.
"So, do whatever it is you do then. Get me into the hard drive or whatever."
"The hard drive is-"
"Don't care, get me the info."
"Jeez, boss! You're in a mood..." They began to upload the data. I stood there restlessly, tapping my foot, my eyebrow furrowed.
Then it came onto the screen. A massive picture of something I never thought I would see.
It was...
