Hyunjin x y/n

Blind date

Childhood besties

Y/N's POV

I'm sitting down in the restaurant bored out of my mind. I am waiting for my "date." I hate doing this. I've been on so many blind dates. They never turn out well. There's always something wrong with the guys my friends set me up with. This time though Han says this guy is a great guy. I don't doubt that he's a great guy, but they're never the right one. They never want the same things as me. They never seem to be in the same mindset as me. That's all I want. Someone that wants to be serious with just me. Someone that wants to go on dates every week. Someone that will make time for me. Someone that will be on time and not late. But it doesn't seem like that's going to happen. He's late. This guy is late. I'm only going to wait five more minutes. If he doesn't show up by then, I'm leaving.

I'm taking a sip of my wine when I hear a voice I kind of recognise say, "Oh my god, Sage. Hi! It's been a while hasn't it?"

"Oh!" I'm a little surprised. I haven't seen that face in years. "Hi Hyunjin! It has really been a while"

"I would love to talk but I'm late for a date and need to find them. I'll talk to you later," He said, looking a bit worried.

"Okay, Catch ya later!" I said to him with a smile. I go back to my wine as he walks away

Third Person POV

Hyunjin walks back to the front of the restaurant thinking about how beautiful she was back there. They hadn't seen each other in years but he recognised her instantly and couldn't not say hi. She was so pretty in the dress she was wearing. She was so pretty with the gold earrings she was wearing. She was so pretty with her glasses sitting just right on her face. He thought she looked like a goddess but would probably never say it to her face. The way the front pieces of her hair framed her face and the rest looked so slick and nice pulled back. He thought she looked so put together. Much more than himself.

"Excuse me, but do you happen to know if there is anyone here waiting for a blind date?" He asked the hostess.

"Uhhmmm.." She paused for a moment to think. "Yes actually, she's sitting right over there." She pointed over to the part of the restaurant he was just in saying hi to his friend. "She's by herself in a black dress."

"Ah." He thanked her and walked back over to that area of the restaurant. He looked around, only spotting one girl, and one black dress. The girl with the front fringe that framed her face and the rest of her hair slicked back. The girl with the glasses that sat on her face so perfectly. The girl with gold earrings he thought were pretty. The girl that looked like a goddess.

He walked back over to her, "You don't happen to be waiting for a blind date do you?"

"Yeah I am. You must be the date, hm?" She looked up uninterested. "Oh," she seemed surprised to see him. "Hyunjin, What are you doing back over here?"

"I was sent on a blind date by one of my friends. I'm not sure why, but I was told you were the only person in here waiting for a date," he answered her.

"Oh, well sit down then," She gestured to the chair across from her. She seemed a little bit less happy than she did when he stopped for a second earlier.

He sat down in the seat. "Well I guess we can actually talk now if you want too." He paused, them both thinking. "Oh, I wanted to say sorry for being late. Han wouldn't let me out the door until he saw my full outfit and I don't know if you know how he is but he can be a pain if he doesn't like the outfit. I had to change twice before I made it out the door."
