The cycle we call love

Your the caterpillar,
I'm the cocoon,
Bound together
Like sun and moon.

We need each other
To survive,
While day and night
Keep the earth alive.

Then the day comes
When we part
You've changed so much,
It broke my heart.

Your elegant wings emerge
Ever so slow,
As you open your eyes
You seem to glow.

You quickly move on
And I was left alone
Until another caterpillar
Makes me his home.
