It was a sunny, normal day for everyone. Except for me, I had work to complete. Since my beautiful Wafflebot Hangar was destroyed by a totally, wonderful, witch, I had no more progress. Which meant I needed to restart. Where would I start? I was not too sure. I did have a nice, little cabin as shelter.. although a certain pirate took everyone's bloody rations. Would I be angry? Not angry, but in a way, I would be quite disappointed in someone who used to be my aunt. Not a big surprise, to say the least. I was sure she would betray everyone, especially my adoptive father, who I can't find anywhere. Maybe he's dead or he's been searching for food, leaving me behind? Who knows anymore, am I right?

I chuckled to myself, knowing that was a crazy accusation. Surely, he would return. He was the Madeleine Cookie after all.

I sat on one of the many chairs.. I definitely had, at the table and started writing on a piece of paper. It was more like a piece of.. leaf. Look I had only the forest, I have literally nothing to my name- I'M DYING HERE MAN— okay anyway.
As I wrote, I thought of what happened so far in my life. Well, everything. Not literally, but everything you could think of. Trauma? Yessir. A random dog charging at me? Ye- wait what? No- uhm. Someone stealing your only source of food? Yep. Where'd the dog part come from what the hell—

Anywho, I continued to write. To someone? I wish. I wasn't sure of what I was writing, it was nothing but scribbles. Cookies rarely know any English at this point, it's all just ‘mine’, ‘i found it’, or ‘Get yer own bloody food, lad!’ and god damn it am I cringing at how they speak. ‘Lad’, really? And that was one of the damned Cookies from the Crème Republic! Not even Captain Caviar's crewmates! It was that stupid, no good, Abalone Cookie! I thought he was dead, I really did.

That was until the doorbell rang. I sat up and rushed over to the door, checking outside by the little window on the door. Licorice Cookie stood there as I only raised my eyebrow and opened the door.

“Licorice Cookie? What are you doing here? I thought you were gone with the other Cookies.” I spoke as he looked down at me like I was some dwarf of some kind. He sighed and responded.

“Look, I'm not here for small talk, Strawberry Crepe Cookie. I just needed to find a small shelter I could use, since it's raining Milk and I do not want to get soggy.”

“But you're already old rags?”

“You shut up, I'm not old rags Cookie! I already had enough from everyone when everything was normal.”

“And when was everything normal? You and Dark Enchantress Cookie’s small group did nothing normal but torture Pure Vanilla
Cookie and GingerBrave.. plus his friends.”

“That has nothing to do with this! Just let me in.”

“What if I say no?”

“I will summon my minions on you.”

I just shrugged and moved out of the way, letting him walk in. We both sat at the small, hand crafted table I made a while back. He had a cup of tea in his hands while I just carefully analyzed him. He looked over at me, in complete confusion. Until he asked,

“What are you doing?”

I looked up and coughed, awkwardly. “I was.. uh.. analyzing you.”

“Analyzing me? Weirdo.”

“Yeah I know I am a weirdo.”

“Glad you accepted that title.”

“It’s not my fault you taught me how to be a weirdo.” I pouted as he scoffed.

“Look, our work was in the past. We do not speak of it.”

“Okay, Mr. Grumpy Pants. I should've known you wouldn't change that attitude, even after the outbreak! You shouldn't even shut people out.”

He rolled his eyes and crossed his arms, “And why shouldn't I?”

“Because, if you don't have an ally, you won't survive even a minute until the next outbreak. I may have myself at the moment, but my dad will be coming home very soon.”

He kept quiet for a minute, before he spoke. “You know, he could join Dark Enchantress, it's his choice. She will prevail and save us all.”

I stiffened for a moment before turning back around to face him.

“We never speak that name in this household. She is not our savior. And the time I spent in that awful, dark and creepy castle, it froze me for almost eternity. The only person who could truly save me was Pure Vanilla Cookie. You have no RIGHT to bring that bitch up, understand!?”

He was shocked and terrified, and I could tell by the look in his eyes.

I smirked and turned around.

“That is what I thought.”
