CHAPTER ONE
{The BAU Team}

"Whoever this is, it better be important" Diana snapped into the phone, not even considering that it could be her boss ringing.

"Do I count as important?" Her older brother, Luke, teased making her roll her eyes and lay her head back down on her mound of pillows.

"No. Now why are you calling?" She asked, really not in the mood for his bullshit. She just wanted more sleep.

"Jesus somebody woke up on the wrong side of the bed this morning and I'm calling because you was supposed to be at work 10 minutes ago" He looked down at the watch on his wrist "Remember we have the BAU team from Quantico coming over to help us with this case?" Diana sat back up and looked at the alarm clock on her bedside table and confirmed that her brother was right. It was half eight, she was late for work.

"I'm taking that as a no then" Luke said when all he got from his younger sister was silence.

"Oh shit" Jumping out of bed she threw on the first pair of jeans she could find and paired them with a grey t-shirt before finishing the look with her black leather jacket. Picking her phone back up from her bed, she could hear Luke laughing on the other side "What?"

"No, nothing, just wondering, how you manage to sleep in almost every day? Even Sam manages to get up early for school" Luke joked and it even got a laugh out of Diana.

"I was up half the night doing some more of the case like I always do then when I realised it was cutting it close to midnight I headed to bed but got caught up in watching Gilmore Girls. Sue me" Quickly pouring her coffee into her travel mug because she can never officially start the day without her morning coffee.

"Just how I expected it to go" Luke said with a smile on his face while Diana quickly finished zipping up her black ankle boots.

"You know me so well" She said with a smile and tucked a piece of her now tamed hair behind her ear as she started punching in the password to unlock her safe.

"Course I do now hurry up and I'll see you soon, okay?" Luke said and Diana nodded even though he couldn't see her.

Grabbing her gun and slipping into her holster on her waist and her ID badge went in her jacket pocket before grabbing her bag from the side of the chair which had most of the case files in "Yeah I'll be in there five, love you"

"I love you too" Both of them hung up and she secured her phone in the back pocket of her jeans before grabbing her coffee and heading out the door for another eventful day at work.

"And sleeping beauty has arrived!" Luke called out in a sarcastic manner when he saw his sister rush into the room with her bag slung over her shoulder and her morning coffee clutched tightly in her hands.

"Luke I've been in this building for what five seconds and you're already pissing me off" She said, walking over to her desk and put down her things as the other agents in the room laughed. They were already used to the playful banter the Hobbs siblings had between them.

"Now that's just rude" Luke pointed at her before his eyes looked back down at the sheet of papers he was reading.

"Eh you'll live" Diana shrugged and walked over to where he was standing "What's this?" She asked and pointed to the bundle of papers on the table.

"The guy we have in custody, Ash Cruz" Luke explained, the man who had been named the Angel Of Death by the media.

Diana nodded "Oh that bastard, yeah I interrogated him yesterday. Should've seen his face when I walked out there, looked like he'd shit his pants"

Luke smirked and nodded "Yeah well thanks to you, you made him write all this" He motioned to the stack of papers "Agent Cameron went in this morning to see Cruz had wrote a very detailed account of what the girls were wearing to how he killed them"

"Good, at least the family's can get some justice" She gave him a small smile when she heard her name being called.

Turning around, she saw the BAU team walking in and over to her and Luke "Diana Hobbs? I'm Aaron Hotchner, we spoke on the phone" The man held out his hand for her to shake which she happily did.

"Yeah we did, it's nice to finally meet you. This is my brother, Luke who's also working this case" She introduced him and Spencer visibly gulped at the sight of him. But who wouldn't, Luke was like the hulk but in human force.

Hotch nodded and leaned forward to shake Luke's hand "Nice to meet you both" He then turned his head to look at the people behind him "This is Agent Jareau, Agent Prentiss, Agent Morgan, Agent Rossi and Dr Reid" Hotch introduced his team as Luke and Diana shook everyone's hand out of respect until she got to Reid as he just waved at the two agents.

"I don't mean any disrespect but I don't really like to shake hands" Spencer said and expected some weird looks but all he got was a smile from the female agent.

"That's fine. Now the room you'll be using is just this way if you want to follow us" Diana said and led them to the conference room they would be using. Walking into the room, she stopped when her phone started to ring causing all eyes to look at her.

"Sorry I have to take this" She sent the team a polite smile and whispered something to her brother before walking out the room.

Luke nodded at his sister and watched her leave the room before clearing his throat to get everyone's attention "All the information is already on the board for you and also in your files that are on the table" Luke pointed to the multiple files that were displayed out on the table.

"Well we better get to work then" Hotch said and picked up a file from the table but he couldn't help but let his eyes wander over to the door Diana had walked out off. This was the first time meeting her in person and he already wanted to know more about her.
