"Shouldn't we head back to the park?" Harry asked. "I'm sure your boyfriend must be worried,"

To say that I was confused was an understatement.

"And who would that be?" I asked, clearly puzzled by his statement.

Harry reclaimed his former posture, a frown spread on his face and his words unevenly uttered. "The one with the black hair and tattoos," He said with an uncertain tone, making it sound like a question more than an answer. Arching my brows in amusement, I chuckle, which causes Harry's frown to deepen.

"Let's head back. You're right, he must be worried sick,"

One awkward ride later, we arrive at our destination and I great my boyfriend with a wet kiss on the cheek, his light stubble poking my lips. It appeared to me that I interrupted a conversation between him and Luke, or whatever his name was.

"Alright," Zayn said, eyeing me suspiciously. "what do you want?"

"Can't I show some affection to my dear boyfriend," I said in a dramatic tone.

Zayn flicked his eyes over my body swiftly. "Wrong, I'm not into twinks,"

Flipping him off, I explain. "Mr. Puppy Eyes over there,"—I jab my thumb in his direction—"thinks we're dating," Zayn laughed.

"By the way, this is Liam," Zayn introduces. Liam. Close enough. Zayn noticed me looking him up and down and smacked my arm. "be nice," He hissed.

"Fine," I roll my eyes, putting on a fake smile, not even attempting to make it seem real. "I'm Louis,"

Before Liam could reply, an out of breath Niall marched over to where the four of us stood. He took a moment to recover his breath before he greeted us with a Hey guys.

After Zayn refused my feeble attempt to "get a jacket from the flat because I'm freezing", I gave up and the five of us sat down on the grass, enjoying the partially sunny weather. The thing about Doncaster is that no matter what month or season of the year it is, you will always be freezing your arse off, which is why sunny days like these are appreciated by many. My head was resting in Zayn's lap, my body relaxing against the humid grass. His hand made its way to my hair, softly brushing through it while his attention was taken by that Liam guy.

Tuning out their conversation—something about Niall's "gaydar" sensing that the new kid in our school, Nick, is gay—I stare at the vast skies above me, some birds just passing by.

And that's how we spent the afternoon, each of us sharing personal stories and rambling about random stuff—mostly Niall. It seemed Liam brought us sandwiches, packing an extra one for Niall. Sticking to Zayn the whole time, I zoned out, not focusing on their conversations. Mid-conversation, Zayn wrapped his jacket around me, seemingly feeling bad for refusing my plea to get one; the gesture planted a warm feeling in my chest. I snuggled into his jacket that smelled of cigarettes, previously warmed by his body heat. I shoot a glance at Harry. No wonder he thinks we're dating.

After many uncountable hours, we eventually called it a night and said our goodbyes. Liam topped it off with a "See you at school maybe" which brought me back to the reality of me having to see these boys at school.

If only Louis was a little more attentive to the people surrounding him, he would've noticed a certain green-eyed boy, whose attention was poured on him almost the whole time, glancing at him from time to time, wondering what might be going through his mind.
