Zayd creased Arhaan's hair who was sleeping on his chest, Arhaan tried his best not to sleep he wanted to be awake to know about Azlan's condition but due to his heavy dose of medicines and the antibiotic shots he got a while ago, he drifted into a deep slumberZayd leaned back on the chair, resting his head on the wall, closing his eyes trying to keep his tears from falling
He took deep breaths to calm his racing heart but nothing helped, the only thing he could think at the moment was that his son was in a life-and-death situation and he could do nothing to help him
A tap on his arm jerked him out of his thoughts, he snapped his eyes open and sighed looking at the person in front of him
He slowly detached Arhaan from himself laying him down on the chair properly he stood up embracing the teary boy
"Shh bs Mera bacha!" Zayd creased his hair as Zain sobbed loudly in his arms...
Zain had just reached the hospital, and even after driving like he was an F1 driver, it took him approximately 20 minutes to get there
He had no idea what was wrong as Ayan only told him to get to the hospital and no other details
However, he overheard the nurses talking when he was at the reception...
Azlan was the boss of the hospital, he was the head doctor, obviously, the word of his being shot spread out within minutes
Zain felt his heart stop at the mention of Azlan being shot, without thinking about anything he ran to where the others were
"Ba...ba Bhai...bhaiya" Zain sobbed hiding his face in Zayd's neck who softly rubbed his back
"Bhaiya bilkul theek ha! Par agar bhaiya Ka strong bacha aisa roi ga to bhaiya to naraz ho jein ga na?" Zayd comforted creasing his back
"Mujhay... bhaiya Pa...pas Jana.... ha.... baba!" Zain managed to mumble between his heart-wrenching sobs
Zayd took a deep breath and broke the hug de-attaching Zain from himself, who was still clutching Zayd's shirt tightly in his fist
"Abhi nai ja skate na beta... Dr's Bhaiya ko treat Kar Rai ha na, abhi thori Der ma chalein ga... okay?" Zayd mumbled softly wiping Zain's teary face with his handkerchief
"Baba?..." Zain cried looking at Zayd who sighed not being able to see his son's tears "Ge Baba ki Jaan" he kissed his forehead head and took him to the chair and sat down making Zain sit next to him
"Mujh... mujhay dar lag Raha... Baba" Zain hid his face in Zayd's chest sobbing uncontrollably
Zayd rubbed his back "Breath Zain... Breath" he mumbled in worry as the kid was crying so hard that it was getting almost impossible for him to breathe
"Ca..n't bre..." Zain tried to form a sentence but failed miserably as he could not breathe, choking with tears...
Zayd panicked when he noticed Zain's lips started turning slightly blue as his eyes turned an even darker red than they were before due to crying "Shhh... Shhh... Zain beta please relax Bhaiya theek ha bilkul please sans lo" he patted his back firmly
Zain tried hard to breathe but he just couldn't, his chest felt heavy, he was sweating despite the hospital being cold, and his body was shivering like a leaf...
Zayd immediately took his phone out and played a recording when he realised that it was the only thing that could help Zain...
Amal's voice echoed in the empty hallway "Zainu mama ki Jaan, aisa nai rote baby" Zain who was leaning on the wall struggling to breathe, heard his mother's sweet voice, immediately stopped what he was doing and focused on her voice...
