The King of Hell, Lucifer, found himself particularly bored one day and decided it was time for a change. He decided to find a way to visit Earth. The idea had crossed his mind before, but with Lilith focused on strengthening Hell and the birth of Charlie, he had never pursued it. Part of him hesitated, especially given his disdain for humanity after witnessing how they were in his kingdom. Though his gift of free-will brought evil, it also led to his banishment, preventing him from seeing the good in the world. Lucifer knew Lilith would be furious if he even attempted such a thing, but now that she was gone and they were no longer together, why the hell not?

Every day was dreadfully the same. He'd wake up, take a shower, admire himself in the mirror, work on his projects, visit his daughter, go home, and finally, pass out. Rinse and repeat. It was much worse when he was alone in the mansion, and things had gotten better now that him and Charlie were talking again. However, he felt as though he'd go crazy if he didn't change up something.

Initially, Lucifer tried summoning a portal, but when he attempted to step through, he was blocked by an invisible barrier. "Oh, come on!" he exclaimed, rubbing his face and glaring at the portal. There had to be a way around this. Banished from Heaven and Earth for his actions, he needed to find a loophole.

Lucifer pondered the curse for a long time until he finally figured it out. Heaven was impossible to breach, but Earth? The Ars Goetia traveled to Earth frequently without restrictions. Piece by piece, his plan came together. Lucifer grabbed his phone and called an acquaintance.

"So, you want me to go to Earth with you while you use a spell you think will let you wander outside of Hell?" Stolas asked skeptically.

Lucifer was prepared to beg. "Please, Stolas! You're the only one I know who understands human disguises and knows more about Earth than I do."

Stolas was part of the Ars Goetia, a descendant of Paimon. The Ars Goetia were angels who had rebelled with Lucifer and now helped him govern Hell. Although Stolas was born in Hell and not part of the original rebellion, he was still family. Lucifer tried to connect with all his family members, even if it was Charlie who pushed him to do so. He felt guilty for spending so much time brooding in his workshop, especially after Lilith left, which strained his relationship with his daughter. He was glad he finally managed to pull himself together.

Stolas sighed, "I suppose I could. I have errands to run on Earth anyway. When are you planning to do this?"

Lucifer didn't waste time and summoned a portal, jumping through it to Stolas, who lounged on his couch, obviously watching some romantic drama. "Now, please."

For the first time in my life, I was late. My alarm didn't go off, the trains were stopped because of the extreme weather, and the traffic seemed endless. It was like the universe was trying it's best to prevent me from going into work. If my boss wasn't in a strange mood today, I would've stayed home to prepare for the storm.

Clutching onto the raincoat, I held my phone to my ear. "I'm sorry, Mr. Thatcher. My alarm didn't go off and--"

Mr. Thatcher wheezed into the phone, erupting into a coughing fit before he spoke. From the three years I've known him, he was a heavy smoker. Customers at the diner would complain all the time because of the smoke wafting from his office. "I don't care, kid. Just get your ass here or ya fired."
