"Oh my god! Are you alright! I saw it on the news but by the time I saw it it was already over!" Kendall yelled as Dakota walked in her front door after school.

"I'm fine, it's all good." Dakota said walking to the kitchen where her sister was standing. "I do have something to tell you."

"Spill, what is it!" She asked.

"This is insane, but the boy next door was controlling that robot." Dakota sat down at the kitchen island. "I could see it through security cameras in the robot. He can do what I can do."

"You're sure?" Kendall raised her eyebrows at her sister.

"Yes." She nods. "The blue color I can see in my eyes, he had it too. I know it."

"And it's the kid next door?" She asks. "Get out, that's insane."

"I know, like of all the places we could have gone we move in next door to someone else who can control machines? It's so surreal." Dakota says. "I'm going to wait for him to get home so I can try and talk to him.

"What exactly are you going to say to him? Hey Ryan, just so you know your childhood crush has the same "powers" as you." Kendall laughs.

"Childhood crush?"

"Didn't you say the boy still has one of your posters up on his wall?" She asks.

"He has good taste, can't hate on him for that." Dakota shrugs before standing to go up the stairs to her room.

Dakota sat in her room for what felt like forever waiting for the light next door to turn on. Eventually, just as the sun began to go down, it did. She looked over to see Ryan and his two friends in his room setting their bags down on the couch. She sat at the window trying to get their attention. Spyder eventually noticed and came over to the window.

"So he wasn't lying you actually are his neighbor huh?" He asked opening the window as Harris and Ryan joined him.

"Nope." She says. "I actually needed talk to you guys for a second? It's sort of important."

"Yeah sure, you want to just come over?" Spyder asked.

"Really is that okay? I mean I'd invite you guys over here, but this house is such a mess." Dakota replied.

"I don't mind, just uh- um go back to the back door. It's open." Ryan said with a small stutter. Dakota smiled and thanked them before closing the window and headed down the stairs.

"Dude what the hell was that!" Ryan smacked Spyder's arm after Dakota was far enough away she wouldn't hear.

"What!" He replied. "I figured you having the girl you've been obsessed with since we we're ten in your house wouldn't be much of an issue!"

"Obsessed?" Ryan asks. Spyder just pointed to the poster on the wall.

"You know what, that poster is coming down after this." Ryan walked down the hall to the stairs.

"Well she's your idol so I wouldn't think you'd mind" Spyder stoped at the bottom of the stairs. Ryan glanced back over his shoulder at him as he smiled with a smug look on my face. Then Marks voice jumped in from the top of the stairs saying,

"Why is she here?" Mark asked as Harris opened the door for Dakota and mouthed 'I'm sorry' to her.

"Well nice to meet you to Mark! Thanks for having me over!" Dakota said sarcastically. "I can just tell you and I are going to get along, but I just came to talk to your brother, but I guess you can stay." She walked towards Ryan and Spyder at the bottom of the stairs. "So I uh- I'm going to start this with saying thank you."
