In the next shot, we see a woman giving a man a gun and some supplies, which the 2 hugged in front of a sealed metal door.

We cut to some shots with the bunker being in chaos with security units trying to stop the man but he managed to take them out with hand-to-hand combat.
???: "He imprisoned my dad and... Mom left the Vault... I need to find her. Find help."
"OWEN, RUN!" The woman said, which made the man named Owen run out of the Vault while dodging gunfire and burst through a cellar door.
Outside, Owen looked around in horror as what he saw was the lifeless Appalachia, where half of the wasteland had no living trees or plants around.

We then cut to another shot of Owen looking around in Toxic Vally near a train station.

In a building, Owen had his eyes widened when he saw a black cat standing on a table, which the cat surprisingly speaks.
"What? You never seen a talking cat before?" The cat said as he stood up on his hind legs.
