Earphones are better

Finally I made it into the plane. Placed my bag in the empty space beside me and the next chair and laid back trying to lose all the muscle tension I had since past two hours.

"The flight will take off soon. Please put your phones in airplane mode." Hearing the announcement, I called mom and texted dad that I am in the plane safe and sound.

For the last time, I stared at my lock screen and then turned on the airplane mode. I connected the headset and slipped into my music world.

Pant...Pant... "I don't wanna miss this flight." I ran and finally made it to the flight. Flashing the attendant a smile I moved forward scanning through the seat numbers. 

"Umm..25..Where is it?" My attention got narrowed to one girl sleeping with her headphones while crossing her arms in front of her. Moving forward I saw 25 engraved on the plate and it was just beside her.

Putting my bad down and making my self comfortable, I took a glance at that girl. She was familiar somehow. I didn't care about the fact that I was staring at a stranger, that too a girl without her permission while she was asleep. Her bun was loosely bought together not any clip securing it. She seemed a bit tall even when sitting. Looking at her hand, I was wondering how perfectly they are carved. She has got a beautiful nose and eyelashes. Gaining my dignity back, I leaned back staring the roof.

"The flight will take off in ....,4, 3, 2, 1. Fasten your seatbelts. And have safe journey. Thank you."

The girl beside was still not moving and sound asleep. I chuckled to my self I ordered for some burger and fries as I will be getting down soon.

"Thank you." I took all the smell that's filling my nose and was about to dig in and saw that girl falling forward. Putting my palm blocking her forehead and the seat in front, then pulled her backwards.

"Excuse me miss." 

"Excuse me miss." I tapped her shoulder and she awoke. I think I met her before and that before being at the accident today.

"Could you please secure yourself with the seatbelt? You were about to fall earlier."

She nodded mouthing me a thank you.

Now I was munching on my fries and burger. I felt conscious of her staring at me so I took every bite slowly. Not to look like an abandoned starving dinosaur eating after few months.

"Do I know you?" She started suddenly.

"N-No." I choked. 

"May be I thought you looked like someone I met earlier today. Sorry for the inconvenience."

"No problem." I gave a faint smile. Now it is confirmed. She was the one at the accident site. I could still remember her voice.

Being done with the food, I asked for a bottle of water. Soon was provided with one. I took another one for the girl and handed it to her.

"Ohh!! Thank you." She bowed.

"You don't have to."

"Take it. You must have stopped me from falling earlier." She darted back.

"No problem." I smiled awkwardly.
