Celeste was a bit let down that Chris cancelled on her. She decided to just call Jaeda. So she didn't feel so lonely today.
"Hi, Cel." Jaeda answers. "Hi Jae. Are you free today?" Asks Celeste. This is her millionth time asking Jaeda the same question, and Celeste always gets the same answer. "For you, yes." Celeste smiles at the response.
"Can you come over?" Jaeda pauses then says something. "I thought Chris was coming over today?" "Yeah. But he kinda canceled, and we haven't gotten a girls day in like, 19 years." Jaeda laughs at that. "Girl, that's how long you've been alive. But yeah, I'll come over. Plus, i need to do my regular Pres rant."
Jaeda has a small crush on Preston. Everyone can kinda see it, except for Preston since he's kinda, well, you know. A dumbass. Preston liked her a bit too, but he doesn't say anything either because they're both equally as blind.
"Okay. I'll see you soon." Celeste spoke. Jaeda hangs up. Now, all Celeste had to do was wait. But she easily got impatient and bored.
"Why does it smell like fucking croissants and cookies in here?" Is the first thing Jaeda says when she walks into Celeste's house. Jaeda walks to the kitchen and finds a cooking Celeste, who's making croissants and cookies.
"You got bored, huh?" "Yup." "Alright, lemme help you." Jaeda walks over to Celeste. She grabs the mittens and then puts the croissants and cookies into the oven. Afterwards, she closes the oven and takes the mittens off.
"Did i tell you that Pres called me pretty?" Jaeda says as she starts throwing some stuff away. "WHAT!?" Celeste exclaims. They both giggle at it. "He says it about every girl though. So it's not special or anything."
Celeste gives Jaeda a look. "Chris calls me pretty all the time. But then sometimes he says stupid words like 'you look quite exquisite today'. He's kinda dumb, but it's cute." Celeste smiles. Her Chris impression was honestly really accurate.
Jaeda can tell that Celeste is really in love with Chris. Out of all the times Celeste has been in love, she hasn't been this in love. Jaeda wishes that her and Preston could be as in love with each other the way Celeste and Chris are. Chris loves Celeste, sometimes so much that he wonders if she's okay with so much love. And celeste, oh celeste loves him like he's everything on the planet. Like her life depends on him. Like he's fucking oxygen.
"You really love him huh?" Jaeda says. "Yeah. I do." Celeste smiles. Her palms resting on her cheeks. Probably trying to hide her blush, which isn't really working. "Y'all are the cutest couple i know." Celeste just smiles. Celeste believes that it'll always be her and Chris. And that that'll never change.
