When Haley got home from the post office of Stormion, she was greeted by Sage River, eyes shiny and wide awake. The color was restored to her cheeks, and she smiled at her younger sibling with warmth, kindness, and a sliver of embarassment.

"SAGE!"

"HALEY!"

The sisters embraced, locking each other in their arms until they both gasped wildly for air.

"Oh, Sage. Tell me everything! I'll make us breakfast. I'm sure I left a bottle of honey here, somewhere..." As Haley busied herself with breakfast, Sage began to tell her tale.

"Alright. I'll just go sit on that bench there--WHOA!" Sage stumbled and Haley caught her in the nick of time.

"I-I think I'm paralzed, Hales. I can't move anything below my waist!" Sage gasped.

"Oh, gosh! I'll just carry you..."

When the girls were both at the breakfast table, snacking on a delicious honey 'n' nuts pie made by Haley, Sage spilled the beans.

"Xany took Emmy and I on a trip-- a friends trip, mind you-- to Stormion. But on the first day, I found out Xany was actually my uncle! So obviously, I had to break up with him. He was raging-- and he thought taking Emmy as his girlfriend would anger me, but it didn't. Emmy wasn't even in love with him-- he was so possessive, Hales. So scary."

"Oh my gosh, Sagie. We'll need to tell Mother all this when we get home." Haley fretted.

"Home and Mother sounds nice to me right now..." The older girl mused, and both sisters chortled.
